Golf Tips Award Acer XS Forged IronGolf Tips Magazine gave The Acer XS Forged Irons a "Forgiveness Supreme" award in their 2013 Annual Buyer's Guide. Golf Tips said "Wow Factor: These are silky smooth and nicely balanced."

Combing tradition with modern game improvement technology, each Acer XS Forged iron is precision forged from soft carbon steel for unmatched feel. A computer numerically controlled (CNC) program precisely mills the entire back of the blade into the exact cavity shape you see including an additional step to create an undercut cavity to allow for a deeper weight distribution found only in cast designs. Designed for the better ball striker with a penchant for a contemporary appearance only a “player’s” cavity can provide.

Questions on Acer XS CNC Forged Iron - Custom Assembled

    Sort by Ascending
    • From Halston Burress at 4/28/14 7:17 AM
      • I understand that these haven't been formally submitted, but were they manufactured to be compliant?
      • Halston,

The grooves were designed to be conforming, but all it takes is for one rouge groove on one head to make the whole set non-conforming.

      • I know handicaps can range due to many factors -however if you were to give a range -what would it be
      • Mike,

I feel it takes a better ball striker to use these irons effectively as they have a shorter blade length and less room for error. A single digit handicapper should be fine, but above that I would look to see the clustering of impacts on the face to determine if this iron is a viable choice.

    • From John at 2/7/14 7:53 PM
      • Will you submit these and other irons to the USGA for a formal ruling legalising them.
      • John,

We decided (due to the cost) not to submit any more clubs to the USGA as a way to hold down pricing to our customers, plus so few ask us about submission / conformity.

    • From Lenny at 12/9/13 10:24 AM
      • Hi, how far can you adjust the lofts on these clubs ?
      • Lenny,

The most we can adjust the lie is 2º from the published specs, however, we do not offer the service of bending the loft as it affects the bound angles.
      • Do you find this question helpful?  Yes   No
    • From Mike at 11/4/13 6:49 PM
      • Are these irons conforming to the new usga rules for competition?
      • Mike,

We have never submitted them to the USGA for a formal ruling.
