One of the best ultralight weight wood shaft values on the market. The Powercoil HP50 weighs in at just over 50-grams with a torque that is envious of even some of the highest priced ultralight shafts on the market. The shaft is designed so the softer flexes have progressively softer tips to help the slower swing speed players optimize launch conditions.
Questions on Aerotech Powercoil HP50 0.335" Graphite Shaft
- From Joe T. at 9/5/13 7:35 AM
- What swing speed can the stiff flexed Aerotech Powercoil withstand without fear of damage? Can it hold up to 105 MPH? Thanks.
Modern shafts are strong enough to handle higher swing speeds than that from a durability standpoint. From a fitting standard is a different matter altogether. If you have a long full fluid swing, a person with a 105 mph swing should be able to control it. However, if you have a short abbreviated swing or possess a fast tempo, then the Powercoil HP65 maybe be a better choice for improved control.
