Shaft Extenders fit into the butt of the existing shaft and underneath the grip to extend clublength. These aluminum shaft extenders (with 0.520" stem) can be cut in half to extend two clubs. These fit a majority of graphite shafts on the market, but not all. For graphite shafts with smaller inside diameters, then use product code GSEG.
Questions on Aluminium Shaft Extender For Graphite Shafts
- From M keller at 11/12/12 7:54 AM
- Bought 2 to use on two hybrids to extend the shafts from 36" to 36.5". No fit. First time I have run into this. I even cut back on the fluted end of the extension. Only fits an uncut shaft? Mine is the I-Rod hybrid.
- The part that goes inside the shaft is @ 0.520". Unlike a steel shaft where the inside diameter (ID) of the shaft is more of a constant when you compare to the same size butt ends, graphite shafts aren't always the same. If you have the ability to measure the ID of the iRod shaft and it is close (like 0.510"), then you could can sand the stem down to fit. But if it is much smaller, you are better off with another one of the extenders we sell (code GSEG).
