Questions on Swing Caddie SC100 Portable Launch Monitor

Sort by Descending
  • From Dave Tutelman at 7/10/14 5:54 PM
    • Is the carry distance measured, or is it estimated from ball speed (or worse, from clubhead speed)?

Which brings me to another question: I don't see launch angle or spin as measured quantities. Does it report launch angle and spin? If not, then estimating carry distance is going to be VERY approximate. So I really hope the answer to my first question is that it is measured, not estimated.
    • Dave,

There are algorithms to determine carry distance based on measurement for both ball speed and clubhead speed. It does not display launch angle or spin, but for under $300 I would not expect that.
