- I am a lefthanded sixteen hdcp., trying to go lower. Have been using game improvement irons w/ graphite shafts. I am considering upgrading to DynaProphetTour or new Acer XS pro with ultralite steel shafts.
Could you compare and contrast these two heads for me? Which would be better for my game now, and in the future, as I continue (hopefully) to improve. - David,
The Prophet Tour was actually made from the Acer XF Pro (XS's previous version) by removing the cavity back so it is the same size and offset and configuring the weight so it was more like a blade than a cavity. The XS is slightly more compact and less offset, but not enough difference as they would be considered for the same type of player. The XS Pro, being a cavity back, will see perhaps a little bit straighter shots on off-center shots. The Prophet Tour will have a thinner topline and sole, which is more of a preference rather than a playability issue..
