The Apollo Acculite 95 is yet another high performance steel shaft. Don’t let the more traditional step pattern fool you. This shaft delivers an astonishing blend of balance, control and feel. Instead of the tradition chrome plating people have become accustomed to in steel, the Gunsmoke finish a very durable and equally attractive Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) coating made popular on many high-end clubheads.

    • want to use these on my wife and I's putters but do not no which end to trim to our respective lengths? Would just get the FST's but knowbody including yourselves carry them.
    • Kim,

For a putter, I would tip trim them as if your were cutting to an R-flex wedge or 3.5" for a softer feel or 5.5" off of the tip for a firmer feel. Then butt trim to your desired length.

    • Can I use the Gunsmoke Shafts for my Hybrid/Irons?
    • George,

Yes, just make sure on the hybrids you pay attention to the weight rather the number engraved on the sole of the club. Some hybrids are lighter than an iron and as a result will need less tip trimming and a longer length. For example, if you have a #4 hybrid and it weighs the same as a #3-iron, then tip trim and make the length of a #3-iron.

    • What are the trimming recommendations for irons? Tip trim? How many inches to trim for wedges, 9,8,7,...,4,3 irons?
    • Ryan.

This is a R and S combination flex. If you are on the product page, go down to where the description is below the picture. Click on the specifications tab and on the far right are links to the trimming for both R and S flexes.

  • From Bob at 7/25/15 12:20 PM
    • Building a wedge professional open series 56 degree with this shaft. How would I trim to wedge flex?
    • Bob,

"Wedge" flex would be S-flex so that would be 5.5" off of the tip. Note though that S-flex in this shaft is not as stiff as the Dynamic Gold wedge flex most commonly found in popular brand name OEM wedges.
