Details

By mixing and matching the stylish XF hybrids, you are not tied down by what constitutes a “traditional” set make up providing you with complete customization. Let’s face it some players are better fairway players than others or their weakness is using certain irons. Hybrids are designed to bridge that gap. For instance a 2 and 3 hybrid club may replace a 5 and 7-wood respectively, but the shorter length provides more confidence. The broader shape of a hybrid enables increased forgiveness over a long or even mid iron.

This is why the XF hybrids will make a welcome addition to many golfers’ bags. They are equally attractive to the rest of the Acer XF woods, but in a traditional hybrid shape. Plus they offer the same variable crown and face technologies for improved performance and feel.

Questions on Acer XF Hybrid - Clubhead

    Sort by Ascending
    • From Rob at 4/9/16 7:45 PM
      • If I were to use (or cold I use) a .355 taper graphite shaft in these heads, what would I need to do to compensate for the tip size difference or would I be better off using the correct .370 tip? Also, what would be the difference in using iron shafts over hybrid shafts in these heads or could I use either?
        Thanks,
      • Rob,

It would be preferable to use a 0.370" shaft which are more plentiful. However, if you did want to use a 0.355" taper tip shaft, use our standard brass shim code JSSHIM-STD. These particular heads weigh the same as a corresponding iron head so shafts labeled as iron could be used in these heads.

      • For a #5 hybrid, should one trim by weight of the head or iron number, five iron in this case?
      • Tony,

It would be weight, but in this instance the weight does correspond with the same numbered iron.

      • I have a customer who would like to replace his 5 W with a hybrid. What do you recommend? Would it be the #2 or the #3?
      • Richard,

Even though the lofts will be different, a 2 hybrid will usually yield the same overall distance as a 5 wood.

    • From Charlie at 1/22/15 4:23 PM
      • I purchased the #6 to replace a 5 iron. The site indicates the playing lenght should be 38", Is that for steel or graphite. I'm planning on using a graphite shat. What lenth is standard for the graphite?
      • Charlie,

The suggested club length is based on using a graphite shaft.

    • From MICHAEL SANYK at 7/14/14 5:49 PM
      • I have an customer in his seventies who hits a 4I from 150. What loft hybrid will replace his 4I?
      • Michael,

The #4 hybrid in this series is 22º. It was designed to replace a 4 iron although most golfers will hit a hybrid more solidly and propel the ball further than the corresponding numbered iron.
