Questions on Apollo Shadow Steel Golf Shafts

    Sort by Descending
    • From Dick at 11/21/2012 11:47 AM
      • Do these shafts come with the name plate or bands, saying they are apollo shafts
      • Yes, each shaft purchased will come with a free shaft label (band). Often times they will be placed in with the packing slip as not to get lost.

      • Do trim instructions come with each shaft order?
      • George,

Trimming instructions are located in the catalog or can be found on the product page by clicking in the Specification tab above the description. On the right is a column for Trim Code. Click on the flex and a pop up box will appear with the recommended tip trimming.

    • From William Bechler at 11/2/2014 1:38 PM
      • Does the same tip trim guideline apply to bore thru heads like Callaway Big Bertha Warbirds? Or is there an additional or lesser amount to trim?
      • William,

To compensate for the thru bore, we would suggest tip trimming 1" less than what is called for.

    • From James at 9/22/2015 8:13 AM
      • Do these shafts have a spine and how important is it to align the spine with the club head? How do you find the spine?
      • James,

If you find a "spine" on a steel shaft you are basically identifying the residual bend as no steel shaft is perfectly straight. IMHO there is no measurable benefit to spining a steel shaft.

      • please tell me what A/L and R/S flex means? thank you
      • Ron,

A/L is a senior (A) or ladies (L) combination flex shaft. Depending on how it is tip trimmed could be made to either of the two flexes. R/S is a regular and stiff flex combination flex shaft.
