- Recently purchased two Grafalloy Pro Custom wood shafts. One goes into a 3 wood the other into a 5 wood. What would be the trimming instruction if I were placing the shaft into a M2 bore head wanting an R stiffness?
The shaft goes into the hosel about 1 1/4" and is about 1" from the sole of the head.

In the last 2-3 years, Grafalloy changed the tip trimming and no longer factors in the bore type into the trimming equation. For R-flex, you would tip trim 0.5" for the 3 wood and 1" for the 5 wood. - Do you find this question helpful? Yes No
