Jeff Summitt is currently the Technical Director of Hireko Golf. Raised in Granville, Ohio, Jeff attended Rockhurst College, Ohio University and University of Central Oklahoma. He has worked in all facets of clubmaking and repair since 1984. Most importantly, the past 18 years have been devoted to researching, testing and analyzing thousands of different golf shafts. He is the creator of the Dynamic Shaft Fitting Index, which is featured in the Modern Guide to Shaft Fitting. Additionally he authors the annual Dynamic Shaft Fitting Addendum, which instructs clubfitters in the proper fitting and selection of shafts.
Jeff was also an instructor of the Dynacraft Clubmaking Institute for over a decade, plus has conducted seminars for the Professional Clubmaker's Society, Canadian Clubmaker's Symposium and the PGA of America. Jeff has written countless articles on clubmaking, clubfitting and repair over the years and remains in close contact with clubmakers on a daily basis fielding technical prone calls and Internet requests pertaining to the craft of custom clubmaking.
