Power Play Caiman Rawpower Fairway Wood - Custom Assembled:Golfers spend tens of millions of dollars each year try to find that one club to give them the maximum distance and forgiveness off of the tee. With certain rules in place by the USGA that put caps on technology, soon your distance could be maxed out. But as we age and golf courses continue to become longer and longer, it is going to be harder to reach those long par 4s in regulation or the possibility of reaching a par 5 in two... until now!

Our R&D department spared no expense and ingenuity in creating that same ideology of maximum distance and forgiveness off the tee, but transformed that into the ultimate fairway wood the - Caiman Rawpower Forged Fairway Wood.

First, we started out with an ultra-thin maraging steel face insert to increase the ball speed coming off of the face approaching the legal COR limit for spring-like effect. This is no easy task as the small face area of a fairway wood does not flex nearly as much as a modern driver face.

In addition to the "hot" face we elected to utilize "cup face" technology. This moves the weld significantly behind the face will possess a greater trampoline effect over the entire hitting surface resulting into greater distance rather than just the center of the face.

For accuracy, most golfers can hit a 5-wood reasonably well, but when they need extra distance they pull their 3-wood out and all of the sudden they hit the club with less than satisfactory results.?hy? The extra 1 inch in length makes it a little harder to return the club to the ball in a square position. This is one reason why we decided to make the head heavier to increase the solidness of contact.?Think of it as a very low lofted 5-wood.

Combined with the unique geometric shape we moved as much weight deep in the rear of the club as possible to create a very highest moment of inertia possible with a clubhead this size. This is the longest and straightest fairway wood we every produced, but it is still extremely user-friendly to hit off of the ground.

For those golfers serious about their game, the Caiman forged fairway is a must-have club to bridge the gap between the driver and their longest control club.

Note: Designed to be the same length and swingweight as a traditional #5-wood

Always had issues hitting a 3, always hit a 5 great, never understood why....however I hit this club so well. I got it S Flex, I swing 90-94MPG and it has a little bit too much flex for my "trying to get 240 yards with my 3 wood" swing...but with a nice easy swing I get 210-220 with this and it goes where I want it to. Great club, I'd get it again.

I liked the idea of a shorter 3 wood, as I had been having problems as they kept getting longer and longer. Little did I know I would fall in love. My first use was a tee shot, followed by several 2nd shots on par 5s. Each time the ball felt like it rocketed from the face, straight, and long. I've ordered the 5 wood and matching driver. Sorry Taylor-Mades I have been using.

I rarely use this club, because I can reach most par 5 greens in 2 with my hybrids (XP905). But, whenever I use it, it's nice and straight 250-260 yards. Good quality for the price.

This club is helping me get control and confidence in my long fairway shot. I like the extra weight in the club head. I wonder though, once I get my competence back if I would prefer to go back to a traditional fairway wood to get that distance back. Control is probably the better option.

Got this caiman fairway wood to replace an Adams Tightlies 3 wood. I really liked the Adams so replacing it was going to be tough. I built this club +.5" with an Apollo Balistick stiff graphite shaft and tacki-mac itomic grip. I picked correctly! This is a perfect replacement. I hit the ball straight and just as far as with the Adams yet this Caiman is much more reasonably priced. I am very happy with this new club and will definitely buy Hireko for my hybrids!

Needed a high level 3-Wood to not only hit off the tee but to go for par 5's in two, about 250 yards, and got the best club that not only provides the distance, but provides accuracy and consistency. Went with custom shaft, which is key to taylor the club to your ability. The design of the head and slightly shorter shaft provided a noticeable difference in consistency of each hit versus other traditional 3-woods, especially off the deck. Shots were much straighter and felt that the head size was just right to hit it from the tee box.

Was looking for a good fairway wood from about 190-210 out. This club is long and straight and the best 3 wood I've ever had. In fact, I liked it so much that I bought the Caiman driver and liking that I bought the Caiman 5 wood.
Hireko did a great job engineering these products and the price can't be beat.
Do not hesitate buying any of these products.

I haven't been able to hit a fairway club for three years....BUT NOW I CAN ! This Power Play Raw Power Caiman 3/5 fairway metal club is absolutely amazing. First hit out of the bag was sweet, high and long. Same thing off the tee...straight and long. I am so pleased that I have now ordered the Caiman Driver and 5 wood to replace my new Taylor Made Burners. I will never pay high prices again for quality clubs just because of brand name.

Buyer beware! You can only return clubs that are built with everything standard! Any changes and the 60 day guarantee is out the window. Apart from that note, this club is everything they claim it to be. I built it with a True Ace Green Ghost in stiff, and it seems to work well with my swing speed (90 to 95mph). I have never been able to hit a 3 wood well off the fairway, but this is so easy to hit well. You won't be disappointed unless you try to return a club

It was like hitting the "EASY" Button. The shorter shaft and large sweet spot made the ball go far but not wide. And that is a good thing. Out of the box, I out hit my old 3 wood and two of my buddies. I purchased the Power Play Q shaft and believe this made the club head come alive. For the money, this is the best deal around.

I ordered the raw power three wood, while it was still out of stock.I received it on time, and couldn't wait to use it.I've used it three times now and it is just what i was looking for.The shorted shaft makes the club easier to hit.I'm 62 years old and the shorter shaft lets me take it back further, thus creating more clubhead speed.I hit this 3 wood further than any OEM 3 wood I've ever had.Anyone looking fo more distance off the tee,as well as the fairway, should consider this club. Thanks for te extra yards.

Love it. I have purchased every three wood around over the past 20 years. This one is the best. The 5 wood length improves control. Every shot is very solid and straight. Distance is impressive. I have now purchased the sister 5 & 7 woods in the stainless. Headcover is included now. A bargain club.

First let me say that the guy from Bernville, Pa could be right about one thing. The head is shaped a little different but he referenced just using a tear drop shaped "Driver" instead. I don't know about you, but I don't "Drive" with a 3 wood.

I bought this custom assembled with a Stiff Cadence 65 shaft & mid-sized grip. I will say that the line of sight was a little off from what I'm used to, but after a 3-4 visits to the range I was ready for the course, and man does the ball just take off from impact.

I don't drive the ball far with my Driver (Avg. 230-260 yds) and I'm thinking that with the added control I have with the Power Play Caiman Rawpower Fairway Wood, and the comparable distance (210-230) to my Driver, I may not use the Driver on shorter par 4's the rest of the year!

It's relatively forgiving on "slight" mis hits, feels great on impact, and my shots are slightly fading right to the target line now.

I would say that if you're not sold on paying $159 - $200 on an OEM fairway wood, give this a try. I'm pretty happy I saved the $$.

This club is solid, has a good balanced feel and performance is excellent. The distance I gained with it I know has to be a least 25 to 30 yards over my old 3 wood. This club is also much straighter.

Comments about Hireko XFM1005M:Power Play Caiman Rawpower Fairway Wood - Custom Assembled:

I have always struggled with a 3 wood but when I saw you could get this in a forged head I had to at least try the head.

I work in the business and I always tell people that a 3 wood is the hardest club to fit. Since there is a limit when loft and length come into play it's hard to find a reliable 260-270 club to put in my bag.

Let me start by saying that I have hit about every 3 wood on the market and this is the first 3 wood I have felt comfortable to put in my bag. I usually hit a strong hybrid but wanted to put a 3 back in the bag. The ball explosed off the face.

I built it 1 degree strong 14* with an accra XT70 M5 and the ball explodes off the face. This club has out performed any 3 wood I have every hit.

I played with a buddy who plays on the Asian tour the other day and he beat it around a few times and loved it. Penetrating ball flight and the thing just keeps going.

I will put this stick against any OEM product on the market. It's a keeper.
