Size and shape will not appeal to everyone, but a very solid, consistent club that will hit the ball straight even on bad mishits. It's not the longest hybrid, but without question the straightest I have ever hit. If you are looking for a club that will hit the ball straight out of the rough, a good choice.

This has been the best fairway wood that I've owned and it is quite forgiving. Has good weight balance. I now will own two of them.

I purchased the Manterra oversized driver,3 wood and the 3,4, and 5 hybrids recently and I am very impressed with the quality of the clubs and how easy they are to hit. I have easily taken 4 to 5 strokes off my game. I keep the ball in play much more often and hit the fairways much more consistantly. I think the confidence that this alone has provided is well worth the great price of the clubs. I looked at clubs for a very long time-- my irons are 34 years old, but I love them. I decided to take a chance on the closeout deals on the Manterra series clubs and boy am I glad I did. I treated myself to a Christmas present with these clubs and when they showed up I was so impressed with the quality of the clubs I could hardly contain myself. Unfortunately I had to wait about 4 1/2 months for winter to end before I could use them-----but they were well worth the wait. Excellent product Hireko, I tell all my friends about them whenever I get the chance---especially about the 4 to 5 drop in strokes on my play!!!! I have no negative comments on these clubs--they even sound great when you hit them!!!

I don't hit the ball a long way and have been looking for something to give me more distance on my second shot, I ordered up a 4 with Acer Velocity Senior graphite shaft, this club is great! Easy to hit, more distance then either my 4 or 5 Bertha I-Brids, this club has helped me a great deal!

I have avoided hybrids for so long I finally decided it was time to give them a try. I was surpised at how easy it was to use this club. Hybrids definately are easier to hit over tthe standard iron.

One could pay 3 or 4 times the price and not get a better, or even as good as, a club. The design makes it very easy to make good solid contact with the ball.

For one thing this club looks cool and sounds sweet. I love most of the things about it but one thing I dislike about the club is the flat long face. Yes thats a big thing, but it tends to make you slice a little more than you want to. Since its abnormal so more practice at the driving range with this club is needed. Overall its a nice club with good features.

The Mantara hybrids are a perfect replacement for the 3,4,5 irons I used to carry. Since I wasn't such a good long iron player, these were the perfect solution. I swing the hybrids exactly like a regular iron but I find that off center shots are much more accurate and the extra mass in the head really helps get the ball up out of the rough. My setup is +1 Apollo Stepless shaft, Golf Pride tour velvet midsize grip. Yesterday I pulled a shot back from the rough about 150 yards with the 5 hybrid, dropped it onto the green and it rolled up onto the fringe. The head went through the rough grass like it was fairway and the impact felt really solid.

As an 81 year old golfer with problems I was delighted to find the versitility of the 4 Iron in particular. I got distance which I had lost, and accrracy which I had never had. This club will never leave my bag. Thanks a million.

Two factors led me to sample the Acer Mantara hybrids: I believe the written testimony that square drivers are more consistent than conventional shapes; a friend told me that his hybrids (brand unknown) were so easy to hit that he felt he was cheating when he used them. So I was intrigued when I saw that the Mantara's were available. I first ordered the 3 hybrid with Acer's low weight regular flex graphite shaft and the Crossline Jumbo grip. Once I figured out how to align the head, (my tendency was to line up with the face open) the Mantara flew higher, went a little further and seemed more consistent than my Callaway X-12. After only a single round, I added the Mantara 4 and 5 hybrids. The results with all 3 clubs are consistent. Higher ball flight, more accurate and a little longer.
