I replaced all of my irons with the Acer Mantaras a year ago. I reviewed them once and said they improved my game. Now that a year has passed I can say that my handicap last season went from a 24 to a 14. "Improved" is an understatement!

I have been using a 3& 4 hybrid but found on really tight fairways that somdetimes I would have a tendency not to hit down on the ball,i would mess up the shot.

I hit my irons well off a tight fairway so i decided to try out the 3 iron and was amazed how easy it is to hit. I went home and bought the 4&5 in this set.

I needed to add a new pitching wedge to the bag and picked this one up. Feels great when you get a good hit. Vibrates just a little but honestly i think that is more the shaft than anything coming from the head. That's why i gave it 4 out of 5. when you buy it upgrade the shaft and it will be perfect.

The Mantara irons are excelent for the high capper\new golfer... extremely confident at address and as good a feeling Super game improvement iron as there is. very easy to control as well. The set up address is like that of its bretheren that cost up to 8 times as much, and i honestly think these are better...oh yeah the stock shafts are great too.

At the price, I Can not give anything a higher reccomendation than these irons (especially matched up with the XDS widesole hybrids)

I bought the A, S and L wedges to match my Mantara driver and fairway wood, just for the fun of it.

These wedges have very broad soles and takes a bit of getting used to visually. The wedges work fine off fairway and rough.

Due to the very broad soles, I found it difficult to hit good shots from sand with the club face open. Even opening the club face a little creates a lot of bounce, causing the club head to bounce off the sand and into the ball if I hit a little too far behind the ball.

To hit shots from green-side bunkers, I would hit shots with the S wedge with a square club face. The broad sole works like bounce and prevents the club from digging.

If I need a higher shot, I use the L wedge with the face square. The advantage is that aim straight at the target, giving me better accuracy. The disadvantage is that my options are more limited as I cannot hit it with an open face.

Bought the Mantara 5-9 and PW, True Ace Cadence Blue shafts, Karakal Power V Grips. Spectacular feel, great distance and accuracy. Cut strokes off my score immediatly.

I have found the clubs I was looking for. I could not buy a 400$ set of irons and I saw these in one of the Golf magazines. I was going to buy a NIKE golf bag and lost the auction on ebay, so I bought the 5-9 irons of these. A lose turned into the greatest golf find of my short career. They feel awesome and I hit the ball as well as I do with name brand irons that I have tried in the stores. And these are a thousand times better than the clones I was using. These feel even more solid with the Apollo stepless steel shaft. With the other clubs around these in my bag I'm ready for battle. My 14 is set, show me the way to the top of the leader boards.

Replaced my Synchron Medics, which I love. Heavier at the head than my old clubs, they never the less where very easy to use. Little or no adjustment to my swing was needed to hit solid, accurate shots.

I bought these clubs to replace my old aging clubs and in the hopes that they would improve my game. I was told about the Hireko website and specifically the Acer Clubs by a close family friend. After doing some research I chose these irons. In just two sessions on the driving range and a couple outings on the course. I went from shooting low to mid 90's to mid 80's. These clubs are accurate and give a solid feel at impact, even if hit a little of the sweet spot. I have even added just a touch of draw. These clubs do exactly what the description says they are supposed to. On average, I would also add that these irons are about 10 yards longer than my old clubs. When the time comes to replace them, I will be back for Acer.

I bought the 7 iron to try out the clubs to see if I liked them. I went out to the driving range to try out the club. I also brought along my 7 iron from my current set of clubs I have, which have graphite shafts. I went with the True Temper Black Gold R flex shaft, and Winn Midsize Grip. Wow I was consistently hitting 160-170 yards with my new acer mantara iron, with my current 7 iron I would only hit 140-150. The club was very accurate, and had a great feel to it. I will be buying the rest of the set very soon. Thanks Hireko for a great club!

I replaced my Acer irons which I was happy with because I get bounce angle on every club 5-LW. I bought TT Dynalite shafts and Lamkin grips. I'm accurate in both distance and line like never before. Talk about game improvement - I got it! These clubs are perfect for those of us who've played a long time and can't seem to get better. These irons will fix your game and they look good.

Took the 7 iron to my local par 3 course today and it performed superbly! Shots were very accurate and distance was entirely controllable. I was able to open the face up and pitch with the club which was important since I only carried this club and a putter. Sweet spot is large and produces a satisfying sound when you're right on, feel is very nice. Off-center shots still get down the fairway. Build quality is excellent, I chose stepless shaft and Golf Pride Tour Velvet grips, very nice combination, looks fantastic!
