Acer XF Iron - Custom Assembled:The Acer XF is our latest generation of game-improvement irons to replace our ever-popular Acer XK line that was named Golf Digest's 2009 Best Value iron. More chiseled than its predecessor to garner more a dramatic appearance, we were able to push the center of gravity even deeper (1.4mm) and lower (0.2mm) for improved performance. Another way to put it is the XF stands for extra forgiveness. The non-glare topline has been beveled to provide a less chunky appear at address. The standard XF is designed to fit the broadest range of golfers with ample offset to help the player square up the face at impact enabling the player to hit both straight and solid shots as well as instill confidence in their game.

My set (3-PW) is bent 1 degree upright, equipped with Acculite 95 steel shafts (regular flex) and Golf Pride Tour Wrap grips. That is perfect for me. If you know what you need, what will help your game most, you can use these exceedingly easy to hit clubs to obtain your perfect set. I hit these irons better than anything I've ever tried...and I've tried everything.

Usual Hireko Golf quality: Good looking, well-built clubs [...] Although billed as "game improvement" clubs with sufficient offset for the average golfer, my experience is they are not as easy to hit as the Acer XK or XK-Ti irons. At least with my swing, the ball comes off with a much lower trajectory, there is less distance on off-center hits, and the feel is not as good on off-center hits. These are still fine clubs, but for the average/occasional golfer like me, I think there are better choices in the Hireko line-up.
