I'm really impressed with these irons. They perform really well. With their feel and control I honestly can't justify buying $700+ irons right now. I put the Apollo 85 steel shaft on them and they feel great.
The only con is that the metal is kinda soft. The face gets scratched up very easily.
I know that too much damage to the face is the only reason I'll ever replace these irons.

Now I have all acer irons. The six iron completed my set. I am set to reduce my handicap this year to 20 or less. These irons have a great feel, are accurate and the price is unbeatable. Only playing 3.5 year and these clubs have helped me tremendously! Thanks Acer! Thanks Hireko!

Comments about Hireko XI3451:Acer XK Pro Iron:
This is my first set of component irons. I chose Hireko because of feedback from friends and from the internet. I feel strongly that I got what I paid for. In fact, on top of being very reasonably priced, this is the first set that I have ever had built to my specifications. However, the steel in this model seems "soft". I hit a large bucket of range balls (rocks) and was surprised to find nicks in the face of the irons. My forged OEMs hold up much better. The OEMs don't fit me, but they hold up better. So, the bottom line is that they are 8/10 in build quality, a 6/10 in durability, a 9/10 in appearance, and a 9/10 in performance. Also, I would recommend upgrading the grips. I was a little disappointed in the stock grip. It feels a little cheap.

Comments about Hireko XI3451:Acer XK Pro Iron:
Wow! Very good club. Tried a 5-iron on the range for four weeks along with my old set and the Dynacraft Prophet Tour. Loved the performance, thought it was one of the best I tried. Went straight almost all the time with good trajectory, but could bend it a bit if needed. Very forgiving and good size, but not bulky. The only thing I didn't like was the thick top line. For the pro model, I thought this was going to look thinner. As with all my irons, went with True Temper Dynamic Gold Steel Stiff. I think this line of irons are winners.

Consistent ball flight. Like the reduced offset. Same yardage as my Ping Zing 2 set. Very pleased with quality and price. TT microtaper firm flex shaft, 1 deg upright. Sweet!

Started playing two years ago. These irons are terrific! The feel and the look are incredible. The price is unbelievable! the only cons for me is that it is winter in New York and I can't wait for springtime...or at leasr a 39 degree sunny day! I will join the 90's club in 2010 thanks to Hireko!

Comments about Hireko XI3451:Acer XK Pro Iron:
Acer's are forgiving enough that even though the pro versions do not have the offset to help alleviate hooks and slices they give the beginner immediate feedback in re: to the mechanics of the swing, your slices are worse and your hooks are too, but once you get the feel of the irons they are forgiving enough that you start getting more accurate and fast.
I literally hit the Acer XK Pro for the first time today at the range, 100 balls and then went out and played 9 holes. My putting was terrible, but the irons were great. Ball Flight bore through the wind and it was low. but not too low that it runs a lot, it was a good feeling.

These are fantastic! The have a great, low and penetrating ball flight. I have them with the Apollo Shadow Steel steepless shafts and the ball just ignites of the face. They are more forgiving on mishits than a traditional players iron but can still work the ball some. You can't get a better deal for the money.

Comments about Hireko XI3451:Acer XK Pro Iron:
Iron play has been my weakness, but with persistence I am improving. Finally replaced my Irons (Original 1994 Big Berthas) With the XK Pro, shaft is the Rifle 6.5. The new Irons are crisp, long and solid with Ideal Trajectory. Vibration & stingy hands have significantly dimished. Although we still have snow, I have hit several hundred from the heated bays at the range.
