These Irons are a great choice for me. I love the weight and the way they feel. I got these with Apollo Ivory shafts and UST Grips. They're just the right amount of heavy so that the club does most of the work. They don't hit like Blades at all. The slot really helps with making the club feel like a blade but hit more like a cavity back for me.

As A short game instructor I love the perfect amount of spin that that PW and SW have to them. They do all the work around the greens.

bought the 5 and 8 irons to see what a blade was like even tho it is advertised for 'better'players.
got ace X-class ladies flex shafts. well i must be getting to be a better player or these clubs have made me a better player, because i love them and have no problems hitting them. I even had my PGA pro instructor hit them and he thinks they are good clubs and great price.. I am now learning how to hit them accurately and put the ball just where i want it to be.

-I had Hireko build a 5i - PW set of Dynacraft Prophet Tour blade heads with the Apollo Acculite 95 Gunsmoke shafts, stiff... I have been playing for several years with a Project X 6.0 shaft (I play to a 7.9 index); which I feel is too heavy and stiff for my swing. I was hitting the ball consistently too low with the Proj X's. The Apollo shaft has a noticeably soft tip with a mid/high launch. The diff is considerable. that being said, the Apollo's seem a bit "whippy" and "torquey"; but this is likely due to my years of play with an improper shaft. You have to swing considerably slower and smoother with these shafts. they feel good once you get the tempo change correct, but if you are like me, it takes time to make a change in swing tempo (expect short and right misses)

-Aside from the shaft, the heads look stellar and compact at address. They are a cast head, so don't expect the buttery feel or crisp sound at impact that you would with a forged head. they have that typical "clunky" cast head feel at impact. Also, the handsomely sharp black finish of the head wears off immediately with every strike of the ball; so don't fall in love too deeply with the look of them. I played nine rounds in the past ten days with them, and they are looking oddly beat up already.

-My suggestions for the Prohpet Tour blade is too keep the shape- love it- but produce a forged head; and also perhaps add an elastomer insert into the pocket cavity to improve feel and sound.

*another note; I had an issue with the 5 iron in the set- someone at Hireko fell asleep at the wheel and built the 5 iron 1/2" longer than the rest of the set. they sent a gratis FedEx airbill for the return ship (as they should) and sent the club back cut to the proper length as per my initial order. This was bad timing, as I had planned to use the new set of irons on a golf trip to Puerto Rico. I had to go without the new 5 and use my old 5 iron.

I would say try these out if you are used to playing a cast head iron, they are a very cool looking set of clubs; but they are not really an alternative to a forged blade or cavity/blade. hope this helps!

These irons feel fantastic, the look breeds confidence.Respectable distance(no lose or gain to my original set).Very accurate.The weight and balance is perfect for me(115 driver swing speed,3/4 iron swing).Comes out of the rough(cuts nicely) with exceptional height and distance.Fairway shots are dead on.Tee shots I'm hunting for the pin.The only down side here is the finish of the club,I can't believe they didn't do something to take care of this problem.I took these and had them shafted with Black gold shafts and the finish suffered immediatly.One practice session and the clubs finish looked as if I had smacked these for hours in a rocky sand pit,I mean tore up.The finish is horrible.Best looking clubs out of the box,worst after one round,my foursome was shocked.UNBELIEVABLE!!!!HORRIBLE FINISH!!!!Please FIX IT! If you aren't worried about looks these play as good if not better than the big boys.But the savings is in the finish.

found the 5 and 8 irons i ordered easy to hit right off the bat. i prefer hybrids but decided to see if i could find a decent iron for my short game.
i got ladies flex acer shafts and these fit in with all my other ladies flex clubs.

Bought this club as a supplement to my cavity backs. My plan is to work over the winter to learn how to hit the blade, which should give me a better swing shape in the spring. So far I've learned my current clubs are very forgiving and have no feel to them.

The feel of the club head itself is very good, but the shaft that I choose is like hitting the wood stick. So it is not fair to judge the club head until I can get better shaft.

They are really good irons. Took me a while to get used to hitting them.I am now considering adding the 6 to the 7-PW I originally purchased and the 3-4-5 hybrids. I would recommend trying hireko for clubs.

Great club, great price, but not for the mediocre ball striker. Could hit a 7 iron anywhere from 150 yds to 210 yards, depending on contact.

Like everyone that hasn't been golfing all that long I was a bit skeptical to try a set of tour irons. By the time I finished my second 9 holes I knew I made the right choice; great feel and accuracy. If you're thinking about these irons, stop thinking and do it now, you are ready. I went with the Stiff Apollo Aculite 95 Steel and Karma mid-size grip.

well, bought a set of these (4I-SW) and love the feel and accuracy. problem is after ony 8 rounds the soles are totally fading and the black finish is coming off. one of the main reasons i bought these was the way they looked. now, they don't look that way any more. very disapointed.

I play golf almost every day, I was searching for another set of irons and came across these great looking irons. I only ordered the 8-9-PW I wanted to hit a few of them to see how I would like them, because I know Blades are hard to hit. They arrived in a short time. These irons are absolutely awesome, great looking the finsh is great. All my friends thought they were 1000.00 dollar irons. I could not believe how easy they are to hit. I do not think they would be for someone with a high handi-cap, but someone with a single digit. Now I will say when you do miss them they are not as forgiving as a large faced cavity back iron, but when you hit that sweet spot there is nothing like it. I have the 5-SW and I am thinking about ordering the driver and 3 wood, and hybrid to complete the set.

Being a single digit handicapper, I was ready to try a set of irons that were more game enhancement versus game improvement. I absolutely love the look of these clubs, but was a bit disappointed that the black PVD finish started to come off quickly on the bottom. I played 12 rounds with these and shot mostly in the 70's from the tips. Although I did hit some really nice shots, I really didn't get the softness I was hoping for, as the clubs vibrated more than I wanted. I even put dense black pipe insulation foam in the stability slot to help dampen the effect. Granted most of the vibration came on slight miss hits, unfortunately my elbow got sore at the end of the round. These were great clubs to try to work the ball, but was having trouble with a stock straight shot. I was missing greens left and right with wedges. I kept waiting for the WOW moment, but really never came. The irons felt more like glass than the ultra soft 304 stainless steel. Maybe part of it is me, but I actually trust my old irons in tournament play over these. I will say that these clubs did produce some very good boring shots through the wind and felt like the performance was fairly good, just having a little trouble with consistency on less than perfect shots. I think adding some rubber dampners in the stability slot would help, like other muscle back clubs. Like the progressive offset. I will keep trying these clubs, but this is my initial review after 6 weeks. I did like the Acer XK Pro model, as it was a little more friendly to off-center hits.

Everytime I pull this club out I hear either "What is that?!?!" or, if they've seen me hit it before, "Oh no, not the Prophet again!" This club is solid and consistent. Its look is awesome, awe-inspiring and intimidating to opponents. My iron set did not include a four iron so I bought the Prophet 4 iron and it has come through every time I've needed it.

Went to the course without prior practice. Incredibly easy. Soft sensation at impact. More than 15 yards longer than my std Power Play System Q2 irons.Extraordinary balance. The head reaches the ball in the sweet spot as a miracle.
