This is the first time I have ever used hybrid clubs. I have been carrying a 3,4 and 5 iron in my bag for years but never really played them. I had purchased the Power Play select 5000 maraging face 3,4 and 5 hybrid from Hireko recently just to see if there would be a difference in iron performance. I decided to hit my 3 hybrid off the tee on a 327 yard par 4. I ended up 12 yards behind my buddy who hit his driver. We both had less than a pitching wedge in.........awesome! I have to get used to the extra distance with these hybrids. Several holes where I used them for my approach shots into the green went way over. Still I can't complain, this was the very first time I took them out to play. I'm learning what they can do and I'm enjoying every minute of the lesson plan!

I use this club instead on a 5 wood especially
on those shots from 175 to 190 yds.

I matched this 19 degree hybrid head with the Acer X-class graphite shaft and am happy with the results. This is my only hybrid and I've found it very helpful getting distance and accuracy out of the rough. I count on this hybrid to give me about 185 yards. This club has some considerable heft to it that took me time to get used to and swing properly. Once I practiced with this club for a week or so it has definitely met my expectations.

This maraging steel utility club has been on the market for some time now. Have not found anything better for the price. All the name brand Utility clubs are far to overpriced. I just wish maraging steel drivers were available again.
