Great feel, and with the weight ports, I can move the weight around to where I get the best control and distance. Cons, I installed the same head this spring and probably used it for about 25 rounds and some practice at the range and ended up with a crack in the head on top. I am hopeing that I just got a lemon, so I ordered another one and so far, I love it.

I have built drivers with this head in
9, 10.5, 12, and 14 degrees.
Pair this with a good shaft to match
the golfer.
Everyone I have built this driver for raves
about it.

Solid but not spectacular.

I was looking to improve my drives - I think this is the club/paired it with a Synchron TK 947.
Swing smooth and the ball realy moves. Can not rush the swing.

I assembled the 9* head on a Death Stick shaft with a Karakal RGF grip 43" long (setup like a "thriver") and have started hitting my drives long, strait and consistant enough to begin playing from the tips.
460cc heads look like a big coconut on a stick to my eye when assembled to 43" , I like the look of the 400cc head much better, and feel that there is less wind resistance with the smaller size. The club plays light (310g), my back stays limber and loose for the whole round, at the end of 18 I feel fresh enough to play at least 9 more!
My golf partners meanwhile are trying to keep up to my new driving prowess, they are swinging their drivers way too hard, causing sore backs and lots of mis-hit drives, lost balls, and anxiety in the tee box.... (for them, ha ha) by the end of of the round they are really feeling it and look like they need a trip to the spa or the chiro.
For me the ability to change the weighting of this clubhead was crucial to making this club so wonderfully accurate, long, and easy to hit.

If you like a driver head with square face angle and you like short-length driver(44"), this is the best driver head though it has 410cc volume.
Using additional weight screws, I built up my driver with 44" length, and now I'm really satisfied.
It's so sad that this item is in closeout section and will disappear soon.

I have been "auditioning" nearly a dozen new or gently used driver heads to use with a variety of Penley shafts that I like. My swing speed is only in the high 80's, but with a Penley Tour Light shaft in this head I can generally equal the distance of my "bomber" heads (TM 580XD, Bang Storm, King Cobra 400SZ) but with better shot to shot consistency and fewer "fliers". It alternates with my Dynacraft Prophet driver as my gamer. With either, I outdistance a fair number of the golfers with whom I play, and spend almost no time in those right-side woods that I used to know so well!

I made the 14d driver for my eight year old son. I put it on a Paragon xjr shaft and so far the results are very good. On a wet course he was averaging around 140 yards with very little roll. He plays on a summer jr golf tour and I am sure this club along with the Sychron 5 and 7 woods I built him, will keep in then medals week after week. I have been very pleased with the Hireko products I have used so far. Keep up the great work.

Have played with this head for quite some time now but always delayed a review thinking there was a better head to come up. But always I go back to it. First it's not a 460cc but when put side by side with a 460, difference is not that much noticeable. Sound is a bit dull but inconspicuous.
I think it's best feature are the 4 ports. I play my clubs with a length based on the suggested based on wrist to floor distance - 42 3/4". With the 4 ports, I can play with swing weight. I played with different head weights till i found the most consistent/accurate combo. I play with a D8 weight for my driver. As for swing shaping, I see not much difference when rearranging weights.
The 4 port design is very like the Taylor made quad burner design. At the closeout prices, you can afford to experiment with loft and club lengths for most consistency.
The present head I have already have gone thru a few reshaftings to test for club length and torque. play with a 14 deg but can use the 12 as well with just a tad more distance. A good book to read on relationshsips between club length and loft is the TOm wishon book - In search of the perfect club.
Just wish they would come up with a 460cc version with a cup face design like the Avatars
