Assembled a 15*XP 450 for my Dad, he gained 10 yards on average from his previous 12*. The extra loft is much better for his swing speed, and now gets his drives up the 180 range. BTY he is a super senior and a new golfer, mataching this with a set up XDS widesole hybrids has done wonders for his game.

drives the ball far

Be careful --- loft 10,5 and 15 are on list of non-conforming drivers. 13 loft is OK.

This was the worst driver that I have tried. The 2nd time I hit it on the practice tee the Acer emblem fell off. Took it out to play a round of golf and used it on the front nine. Thought I had hit it well on the first hole but I was 30 yards behind my 53 year old uncle who uses a Taylor Made R-5. Everyone in my group was outdriving me and I could not control the drive. After the front nine I went back to my Synchron Revolver and I immediately hit the ball 30 yards further.

I had gone to a 3 wood off the tee to improve consistency. The only problem was that with the shallow face of a 3 wood I was prone to hitting sky balls. This driver solves that problem. I built it as a 3 wood; 15 degree loft, 43 inch club length, True Temper Dynamic Gold Sensicore shaft. I use standard length tees.
I couldn't be happier with the results. Average drives are 210 - 230 yards with good accuracy.
Several friends have asked me to build an identical club for them. Last week I loaned my club to a friend who was really struggling off the tee. His first drive was 210 and in the middle of the fairway. I didn't think I was going to get the club back!

Built this for my wife (in 15 deg). In 2 rounds she's added 20+ yards (from <150 to 175+) - her swing speed in about 60 mph. What a confidence builder too. She and this driver are much more consistent. I used the Pink Diamond Shaft and Winn (gray) Excel grips - makes a colorful combo. I figure I'll probably be building another when my mom gets to try this.

In search of club to give slow swing tempo'd wife added distance off the tee I opted for this driver head (in 13 deg) matched with the SK VIP in LL flex with a light weight grip.WOW! She is now consistently in the ~200 yd range off the tee!(about a 50 yd gain from her previous driver!) She loves the sound of this club on contact. Excellent accuracy as well (never was her problem). Her scores are coming DOWN and her confidence is going WAY UP !

This is the second Acer XP Head I have owned. If you want a Driver that is long and forgiving, I would strongly suggest you try the 15 degree model. The Feel is very good and it gets the ball airborne. Can especially reccomend it to those of us with under 90 mph of clubhead speed and who perhaps have some joint or flexibility issues. I hard stepped an Apollo Shadow A Flex Steel shaft and built it to 43.5 Inches. It has not made me straighter, but it has made me longer and shorter shots out of the rough are often easier! ;)Really asks to be hit hard but I get better results by swinging smoother and slowing down the swing. The ball shoots off the clubface very well, if you give it a chance to do so.This Driver performs better than the previous driver I had with the same head and an Acer/Synchron A Flex Graphite shaft. I used a Whisper Grip. For under [$], you can have one heck of a driver. Try one today!
