I built the 5 iron to try the head. I assembled the head on both a graphite and steel shaft along with a forged head I purchased at the same time. I liked both clubs but when you put the heads on sale, I had to purchase the entire set. I assembled the heads on Rifle 5.0 shafts and I believe these are some of the best irons I’ve ever played. The hits is crisp, the ball flight is straight but somewhat workable, and the feel is outstanding. These are some of the longest irons I've ever hit. The looks and performance are 1st class. I would have no problem recommending these clubs to all my playing buddies.
I assembled sets of these for several friends: all gave good reviews. The maraging steel face insert is HOT - note the "Rules of Golf" limit ONLY a driver. These clubs really are hotter than others. The players like the feel, and the distance. Finally, the stainless shell casting and the chrome finish make these are a good choice for the casual player; no rust from sitting in the garage.
For more serious players (me included), I prefer the Prophet forged CNC milled club for the true feeling and control of a forged club.
I sure hope Hireko continues to offer the Prophet clubs in the forged-CNC design and the these maraging face clubs.
I am a high handicap golfer, but I love these clubs. The maraging steel face makes them very lively. You get wonderful feedback, a crisp "crack" when you hit them squarely. I compared them to current model demo Calaways and Pings. More forgiving than the Ping and longer than both with sweeter feedback. If these heads are going to be discontinued, I hope they are replaced by another model with a maraging face, perhaps a midsize version.
I felt it was time to try some new technology. I read all the specs and chose the Prophet Iron heads, matched with an Apollo shaft (an old favorite). My old clubs were at least 8 years old. I made an excellent choice! Matched with the steel shafts, and using a Jumbo grip I have been exceptionally please with the results. Not only do they look great, my distances seem to be similar to my older clubs, and I'm hitting the ball straighter - less hook.
Although shaft preference is subjective I would heartily recommend these iron heads to anyone. They remind me of forged heads, and there's nothing sweeter than to "smooth" a shot with forged heads...
These are TERRIFIC!
I replaced my 7-PW Fusion type heads with these. I like the look and feel of these much better. They seem to me to be more precise.
This is my first iron change since 1990 and I was instantly a fan of the large sweet spot. Even my toe hits are carrying the hazards. Well struck shots still give nice feedback.
I did the 5 through SW on TT Lite XL shafts with Winn mid size grips. I am very happy with these clubs. They are accurate, get the ball up good and are forgiving on miss hits.
I built a 7 iron to demo. Love the look of this head. Not too much offset or too long a blade length, but a nice wide sole. I'm not a good player, but I fight a hook and these fit my eye perfectly. One of the longest 7 irons I've ever hit. A very penetrating flight even shafted with high launching Dynalite steel. Very forgiving on toe hits, but all contact feels the same. It's not harsh feeling, but not a nice feel either. The looks and performance are 1st class, but the feel is 3rd rate.

this is the iron better than me has ever used

I went with 4-iron through pitching wedge. I put them on a stiff graphite shaft with very low torque. They added 10-15 yards per club with more consistent accuracy. I particularly like the progressive CG location. I have fewer fades on the long irons and more loft and green-holding spin on the short irons.
The average distance on my old pitching wedge was 105-110 yards and 95 on my 52 degree gap wedge. This new Prophet pitching wedge averages 120 yards. To reduce that gap I just added the Prophet 51 degree gap wedge and love it too!
My best golf buddy is an amateur club fitter and I love to experiment, so I have "tested" a great many different clubs. These are clearly the liveliest I have ever hit. Although they are extremely forgiving, they still allow me to easily shape shots too.
I heartily recommend these to anyone who wants more distance and control--which should be everyone.
Can not get much better than this. Great looking club at set up.
