Dynacraft Genesis Iron - Clubhead:The Genesis Flight Control iron is truly unique design. The interchangeable weighting system allows for customization for both swingweighting and for shot shaping. As shipped, a 10g screw is installed in the toe port and a 3.5g screw is installed in the heel port to offset the weight of the hosel to make a very stable, balanced design. Additional screws can be purchased to allow for heavier or lighter head weights. Wide, asymmetric sole allows the club to slide through virtually any course condition especially the wedges where the face can be left open and not create excessive bounce.

Additional weight screws can be purchased .

More information regarding weight removal and positioning can be found in the

Comments about Hireko I30891:Dynacraft Genesis Iron - Clubhead:

With over 800 clubs, this golf "tinkerer" plays the Dynacraft Genesis irons. They are simply the best performing, most versatile irons I have found, and I test many of the major brands.

I have friends that purchased these clubs on my recommendation, and they also continue to play this model.

While I have a complete set, this review is for the "carry" set I built of only 11 clubs and a lightweight bag. 10-deg driver, 15-deg fairway metal, putter, then Genesis irons of 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, and 55 degrees.

My new set is made up of 3, 4.5, 6, 7.5, 9, P, G, and S clubheads. They have been adjusted to the lofts listed above, and the appropriate lie and lengths were used in their graphite-shaft construction. The swingweights were tweaked to the correct values for an MOI set, and they perform admirably!

The clubheads are powerful for distance, and do not balloon the short iron shots. As game improvement clubs, they do not bend the ball very much; they hit straight. The broad sole is suitable for tight lies, plus the cabbage, and the wedges can be fanned open for delicate pitches.

Please note they are oversize, and some folks prefer a small footprint with a narrow topline. When one keeps hitting great shots with the Genesis model, the larger size mis-givings vanish!

The fact that I can choose any set of irons in the world, and chose this particular model TWICE, is testament that these perform correctly.

Comments about Hireko I30891:Dynacraft Genesis Iron - Clubhead:

Had these built with some FST Pro White shafts, had to do a little weighting to get the specs right as a couple of the heads were a touch light, but nothing crazy. Overall these look like a big time set. Very nice fit and finish, the feel with Pro Whites and Pro Soft Inserts was very solid, if not a touch muted. Having never tried either the pro whites or these heads, I wanted to make sure I wasn't going to get a harsh feeling, I don't think there would be any problem without those inserts.

I have not tried the weighting system, but its a nice bonus. At the price I would be very suprised to find anything with this many features, the sole is a very nice grind, yet wide for forgiveness, they feel solid and look great, plus if you feel the need there are weight ports. Bottom line, a tough club to beat for 3x the money.

Comments about Hireko I30891:Dynacraft Genesis Iron - Clubhead:

I have a "down and through" attack the ball type of swing, yet.. these wide sole irons perform decent, for this swing type. Generally, wide sole irons do not play well with this type of swing, so the Genesis have not disappointed.

Great feeling club

Comments about Hireko I30891:Dynacraft Genesis Iron - Clubhead:

If you're a feel player these should work for you. You know with the club head is at all times. distance is good ball flight is high. So you don't give up any distance yet you get a softer landing shot. Should be a benefit to most. The head is a touch larger than I would like but the feel seems to make up for the larger head. For those looking to get the ball up and on line give these a hard look.

Too Bad there's not a 58/59 degree

Comments about Hireko I30891:Dynacraft Genesis Iron - Clubhead:

Excellent set of irons. I matched my 4-sw set with TT dynamic gold s300 shafts. The first thing I noticed is how the ball jumps off the club face. I normally hit high/straight iron shots. I found myself having to play for a soft draw no matter which club was in my hand. The only complaint I have is there is not a 58/59 degree club available for purchase

Heads are heavy even with lighter weights installed, allthough do use overlength shafts. Clubs do not sole for me have to use a slightly closed grip to make it feel right.

Genesis irons better than Big Bertha
By NoPuttsNoGloryVerified Reviewer from Slidell, LA on 2/15/2007
Pros:
Accurate, Adjustable weight, Durable, Greater distance, Medium-sized head, Wide Sole
Best Uses:
Beginner, Casual Play, Intermediate, Senior
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Hireko I30891:Dynacraft Genesis Iron - Clubhead:

Callaway Big Bertha 2004's demonstrate military golf - left, right, left, right. Dynacraft Genesis irons are straighter, and maybe a little longer. With the weighting you can introduce a draw bias like the newest TaylorMade irons. Good sole design is valuable in wet, mushy conditions.
