Comments about Hireko EXILEMDCM:Exile MDC Red/Black Graphite:
Soft tip of this heavy (over 100 grams) composite shaft (not 100% graphite) produces extremely high shots, to the point of losing distance due to the energy being directed up and not out. Weak torsional features tend to leave clubhead fanned open at impact, further increasing loft and a swipe at the ball. Look sharp, easy to work with in the shop, and would be OK for pitching, chipping, and putting.

when i receive3d the shaft, they were very very heavy. i called thetech support but got littlr if any information. items i wished to know,-weight, no one knew. composit, no one knew. flex, no one knews. kick point, no one knews.it is red, but no blacl, except under the handle...i placed two shafts in a 7 iron & a 6 iron, heavy, but atr the range, both clubs were excellent. great feel, good distance. i was very pleasantly surprised. it would be very helpful if you would place the necessary information [as other shafts are] so one making a purchase could not buy blind.
Comments about Hireko EXILEMDCM:Exile MDC Red/Black Graphite:
The Exile red men's shaft is inexpensive. It is labelled as graphite in its marketing headline, but described as composite in the details. It is basically fiberglass, probably with just enough graphite to bear the name. It is a heavy shaft. Tags on the shafts ranged from 99-103 grams, which is NOT graphite weight. When actually weighed, the products were all 101.5-114.5 grams. So no playing benefits over lightweight steel, plus all the negative torque associated with fiberglass. Best uses would not be for full swings, but as a vibration dampening shaft in putters, chippers, and maybe half wedge shots.
