Dynacraft Prophet Forged Wedges - Clubhead:The Prophet wedges are handcrafted from 1020 Carbon Steel, to be amongst the best feeling and performing wedges on the market. This classic shape to the knurled hosel from a bygone era.. Forged to tour-preferred specifications, the slightly heavier weights allow the head to travel through both thick grass and softer sand with little effort. The narrow 4-way cambered soles are also versatile from a variety of lies and are produced with slightly more bounce for the better golfer who likes to hit "down" on the ball without causing the leading edge to dig. These wedges have USGA conforming square grooves and treated with a non-glare satin finish to last for years to come.

Used this head for my first graphite-shafted wedge. (I've been playing steel shafts all my life.)

It took a little getting used to the head-heavy balance of the set, especially with this heavy head. Once I got it, I loved it. The heft is great. Very smooth feel, very little vibration. Remarkably few mishits in real play; I think that is partly the sole shape and partly the balance.

I have been playing with these wedges for a full season and I have been very pleased. Great performance and very little sign of wear despite heavy use. At this price I'm still thinking of renewing just for the fun of it... I love the slightly heavier feel that these clubs have, making them similar to the Professional Open brass series. Overall just a great club that I would recommend highly. I have even made a few sets and given away as presents to friends.

I used these to replace some dynacraft wedge heads that I had been using successfully for several years. I got all 3 available lofts and have been very pleased with the results. The markings from one head to another are small and added a small piece of colored tape to each shaft so I could easily tell when I had the proper wedge.

I had recently purchased a Callaway X-Tour Lob Wedge and loved it's performance it could stop a ball in it's own pitch mark or back it up like the pros do. However it has one problem it will practically tear the covers off of the balls with its sharp grooves. The balls look like they have been mauled after just one shoot with that wedge often big chunks of the outer shell are left in the grooves. Looking for a replacement I built the prophet forged 52, 56, and 60(same 1020 steel as Callaway) with Apollo standard stepless shafts. I get the same awesome shoot stopping performance, but I can still play one ball for the entire round. These wedges can stop dead or spin it back without damaging expenive soft covered balls. Plus I built three of these for less than the cost of one Callaway. Dynacraft wedges are awesome!!!!

Built the 52 degree. Feels better then my Cleveland. Works well from tight lies even with a 10 degree bounce.
