9.5 with one of the light weight skull shafts(stiff)--Results have benn great! Have outdriven friend with a Ping(composite head) & have had more drives in PLAY!!! I did use a winn hero grip with some reluctance do past experiance with them not lasting in the hot texas weather.

I paired the 10.5 degree head with an Apollo Acculite 50 and a Lamkin white 3G grip. Length is 46.5". The club swings beautifully and hits it FAR even with a slower swing. I picked up about 40 yards over my old square 12 degree driver.

There was a learning curve for me. It took a few weeks to get used to the weight and the new tempo that this club demands. That being said, when I hit it correctly...it goes and feels great. I used a 50 gram Mamiya/UST regular shaft and I like the combo. Two of the other players in my group have it as well...one with the Regular shaft and one with the Senior flex. The guy with the Senior flex has about the same swing speed as me and now hits it as far as I do (this was not the case with our previous matching drivers - both with Graffaloy Pro Launch 55 stiff shafts)...so you may want to think about this option.
This club has a great feel when hit well, but like I say, it can take some time to get used to.

I build this club for myself for a couple of weeks ago after giving away my old driver to a good friend of mine. So, I was keen to try the new 9,5 ĚŠ Acer XF Leggera Titanium driver and combined the with True Ace Blue Crunch (stiff) and Golf pride decade grip. I knew that the Blue Crunch shaft works very well for me and it is value for money!
The club performs very well, great feel and response, forgiving, sounds good and it's long.
I can recommend this head but this shaft might not be the right shaft if you, if you have lower swing speed. Then you should consider another shaft.

I bought the 9.5* head and assembled it with a 55 gram Projec R Rapport stiff shaft with a club length of 47 1/4". A smooth swing is giving me 290 to 295 yards (not an exageration) and it is in the fairway most of the time without big misses. A very nice looking club.

Well this driver head looks very nice especially when paired with a black graphite shaft and white grips. The sad part is it isnt very long, but it does fly straight. I have built a lot of drivers in the past few years and I will have to say the Caiman head (from Hireko) seems to play much better than this club. It also flys straight but I can easily get 15 to 20yds more with the Caiman head. It's a shame because I really like the looks of this club head.

I build a 12 degree with the new Integra 45 gr shaft cut at 45.5 It just goes straight and the hang time is hard to believe ! Too bad hitting from the deck I got a small rock and now I have a dent on the head ! Hope I can fix it !

Okay folks..Here is the deal. I tried it because I hit the regular XF driver very well...Thought I might get a few more yards. I could not hit it. PERIOD. I have no idea why. I built it to exact specs. I gave it to a buddy of mine who has a extremely slow swing. HE GAINED 35 YARDS ON THE FIRST DRIVE!! He went from 175 to 205 and then hit a couple 210 or so. WHAT THE FRICK? I just gave it to him. Just because it didn't work for me doesn't mean it dosen't work. Hireko has done it again...

I purchased this head with an Apollo 50gm shaft for my father who's about a 5 hndcp but is getting older and needed to generate more swing speed.. He was using an older taylormade R9. This new XF driver has blown him away. He has increased his distance 25-40yds and keeps it down the fairway. I would definitely recommend this driver.

I recently hit a playing partner's new super light driver from a well known OEM and decided to give a light driver a shot especially after reading the blog on the new XF's woods from earlier in the year. I found the sound of the driver to be very solid and pleasant to the ears rather than loud and harsh. Using the 9.5* I got a nice boring trajectory that seems to go on and on with quite a bit of roll after the carry. The white finish is more of a gloss than matte which will resist staining as I have already seen with the other white drivers. The black finish of the face and sole have held up quite nicely as well and no marks have shown up with range use. If you are looking for great performance rivaling/exceeding the big boys this is the club to go with.

Very contrary to the first reviewer, this head, when properly fitted to the correct shaft (in my case a Miyazaki C.Kua 43) and at the right length (47") delivers on the promise of longer drives, as long as you complete your backswing and give the club time to close. Head was right on specs as far as weight, and the finish is of very high quality. You can't tell from the photos, but the top of the club is a pearlescent off-white with a black PVD finish that lets you see where on the face you hit the ball. Sound is NOT too loud, and is on par with all the "big name" drivers, if not slightly more muted compared to some. Now, if Hireko would get on the stick and release the loft options other than 10.5, clubmakers will be able to build a very attractive driver to fit all types of players (hint, hint!)
Very nice component in a time when other component makers are drastically cutting back their selections.

Put this together for myself. I am teaching professional. I matched it up against the new R-11 from Taylormade. Much better and solid off the tee. If I need adjusting I could add the hosel and shaft devices. Great club.

Has potential for adding length as promised. Must make the right choice of shafts for swing speed and ability.

Made this for a customer. Did not deliver because of poor performaance. Very loud. Very unforgiving. It looks good but is probably the worst performer I've seen.
