I play about 72 holes weekly and have used this grips for several years. You can pay much more and will not buy a better grip.

I love these grips. They have the right combination of soft feel, tackiness, and durabilty. They play well in the rain. I've been using them for about 10 years and will play nothing else. Clean them regularly and they last a long time.

Once installed on my clubs, I had high hopes for these grips. While practicing my swing @ the outdoor driving range, the grips felt comfortable and tacky (just what I was looking for). The following week I went to Tampa for a golf vacation, looking forward to see how they felt while actually playing.
It was about my second round when I noticed that some of my grips were twisting in my hands. I was thinking that it was my imagination at first and had one of my buddies try swinging them as well. He was feeling the same thing I was. By the end of the round, half of my clubs were useless.
I ended up going to a local golf store to try and reinstall the grips, thinking that the solvent or tape used the first time wasn't any good. The golf technician reinstalled a few of the worst grips. He didn't have any luck either getting the grips to stop twising.
I ended up buying new (different) grips and installing them that night. Having no problem with these grips for the remaing five rounds, I can only conclude that the original avon grips were defective. It's a shame because they felt so good at first.

I wanted to try these grips out since I'm going from graphite shafts to steel shafts. I must say I like these grips better then the Lamkin crosslines that I had on my other shafts. The Avon's are not as tacky but are much softer and I have no problem with vibrations from off center hits on my irons. I will be using these again when they need replacement.

I've put these on a few demo irons I've built. They have a very soft feel and average tackiness. I think I'd prefer these over Winn DSi grips for example. They're also rather easy to install. I will say I don't notice much vibration on the irons I've built using these grips...
