Comments about Hireko RF07:Karma Black Velvet:

I've regripped in the past with Golf Pride Victory, Tour Velvet, and NDMC as well as Lamkin Crossline and Torsion Control (someone should bring these back). I've also tried some other cheapo brands like ProT (which were thin and wore out quickly). These Karma grips have all of the great qualities of the Golf Pride and Lamkin at the price of the ProT. I'm not picky enough to let the lenght/logo combo bother me as some others have mentioned, but installing the grips upside down is a perfectly acceptable solution for those interested.

I'm totally sold on the Karma brand and hope to try their Multi-Texture grips next, probably in Black/Red on my Power Play Q2 woods/hybrid and the Red/White/Blue on a set of Acer XF irons.

Comments about Hireko RF07:Karma Black Velvet:

My new go to grip. Love everything about them. I'm 62, and play a few times a week. I can develop hand cramping if I'm playing a lot and hitting balls on the range too. These are easier on my hands with no down side to my game. At less than a buck, regripping three sets of clubs each year is not the expense it once was. Try these.

Comments about Hireko RF07:Karma Black Velvet:

I was never a fan of the Golf Pride Tour Velvet, I have played Lamkin grips for the last 15 years. I saw these grips(price really)and never having played or bought Karma grips I thought I would try some. I bought five weighed them all and picked the litest and put it on the True Ace Green Ghost Shaft, Titleist 975F 13.5. WOW what a feel. Like other reviewers I to had to put the grip logo down so my thumb wouldn't rub on it. This would be the only knock I have for this grip. Will be buying more in the future.

Comments about Hireko RF07:Karma Black Velvet:

Shortened my shafts 1 inch so I needed to regrip. I already tried the Karma white velvet and loved them but wanted to try these now. I've used GP Tour Velvets in the past and these Karma grips feel no different. The only difference is that Karmas are a tad shorter than the GP grip. I installed the grips with the logo underneath so my thumb wouldn't be on it. A small trade off for a set of 13 grips for about [$] compared to about $40 for GP tour velvets...you do the math.

Great rubber compound

Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Hireko RF07:Karma Black Velvet:

This is a great grip comparable to Tour Velvet. The firmness and tackiness of the rubber is as good if not better. My one complaint would be that the Karma logo is big and a little high up on the grip (i like to choke down). However, the value of this grip can't be beat!

Comments about Hireko RF07:Karma Black Velvet:

These are very inexpensive grips but I wouldn't use great grip for the money to describe these grips. They are just plan and simple great grips period. I change grips like most people change socks. Save yourself some money and just try these grips. They feel great and look good too.

You can pay more, but won't get any better! Tried 'em all - Wynn, Lamkin,Avon, TackiMac,and Golf Pride. This is as good as any of them. Yes, I have started putting them on my clubs as well as my customers. You can put on new grips more often now, for less cost. Great bargain!

Good grip except a bit too short
By twcVerified Reviewer from Cupertino, CA on 10/5/2007
Pros:
Comfortable
Cons:
A bit too short
Describe Yourself:
Casual Player
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Hireko RF07:Karma Black Velvet:

This is a good grip but one thing I don't like is that it is a bit shorter than, say, the Golf Pride tour velvet. Because of that, when grip is installed normally with logo facing up, my right thumb will always rest on top of the logo. Feel a little bit annoying. Now I've solved this problem by installing these grips with logo facing down.
