I have put long grips on before and nothing that took this much physcial work. I use mineral spirits on all my grips but had to resort to warm water and hard work to get the lower piece in place and that took some serious labor. Feel of the grip is heavier than expected also. Next time I'll spend more than [$] for one.

One of the reviews claims that this grip does not conform to the rules. If you look at the most current rules for 2011 on the USGA site, the 5 in minimum grip length no longer applies. This grip is perfectly legal for tournament use.

These are great to use on long putters but I have also found the bottom section can be turned around and used as a reverse taper grip for your other clubs. Use them full length on irons and trim end to 10 1/2 inches for the woods. I use a 7/8 plastic cap on the end. These are much cheaper than the other 3 brands for sale. Much more comfortable than normal grips.

The upper grip section is less than the required 5 inch minimum required by the USGA therefore the grip is non-conforming and not allowed for USGA competition.

Otherwise it is an excellent grip for feel and wear.

When installing this grip, use one long piece of grip tape and pre-cut the tape where it will be removed. Cut a little extra so you won't be able to see the edges of the tape at the grip ends. The tape peels right off and it looks much cleaner than trying to cut the tape after the grip is on.
The rubber compound is similar to the karma black velvet grips. Very tacky, firm and durable. You get a lot of feedback from the strike with this grip. The bottom segment feels pretty large compared to the standard paddle type putter grips. The size is comparable to a tennis racket grip. It feels a tad big to me but if you prefer a larger grip you will like this one a lot. For this amazing price, you really can't go wrong.

Finally a great rubber grip that will last forever. As anyone knows that uses a belly or long putter, other brands tend to wear out after a season. Not this grip, it is made of high quality rubber and will last forever. Not to mention the price!!

Pretty easy to install. None of the color of the grip came off on my hands when installing. I had no problems and it was a great price.

I've tried MANY long putter grips and to get a really good one you usually have to pay MUCH more money than this - and sometimes the expensive ones aren't very good. For what I paid for this grip I am AMAZED! Attractive, good tack, CHEAP! I will agree with an earlier review about the black coming off on your hands when new and installing - but the grip did not discolor. I can not speak for longevity or wear - just put it on earlier today. But, I felt compelled to write this review for the great grip - at a great price - that I received and built into my own putter. I have now decided to make this grip standard on a line of long putters I am going to build/sell. I am SO glad I found Hireko! Great Pricing! Great products! Great support!

This is really a very nice 2 piece putter grip. Don't let the price fool you! I have built several putters with this grip (including my own) and have had nothing but positive feedback from all my customers. It is very sturdy, has a very nice jumbo feel to it, and plays well in both dry, or wet weather. If you prefer a rubber putter grip don't go any further... buy this one you won't be disappointed!

I build side-saddle putters, and needed to find a more affordable 2 piece grip. I was using the Winn jumbo 2 piece, but since they raised their prices so high, they simply priced me out of their market. I thought I would give this grip a try, and was very pleasantly surprised! Even though this grip is made of rubber, (and doesn't have that expensive leather wrap look) it is still very comfortable, has a great feel, is very soft, and is very durable. It also has a very nice jumbo size for those gentle touch putts, and it plays in wet weather very nicely. The only down side is that on its initial use, there may be a bit of black residue on the hands, but I found that if you give it a nice initial soapy wipe down before each use this does not happen. I can tell you this though... at [$]a pop you just can't beat it! Good Job on this one Karma!
