[...] I sanded it to bare Aluminum and primed and painted it Semigloss white. Converted it to a "broomstick" center shaft 48" long with the Winn 2 pc grip. When trying to install the lower .620" grip on the .600" Apollo shaft it made it half way on the end of the shaft and was stuck for about 30 minutes..... but I eventually got it back off. On the second attempt I started by running the grip tape in one piece from shaft end to bottom of where the lower grip would end up. I put the lower grip in near boiling water for 5 minutes then soaked with solvent, the inside and grip tape, liberally. It slide right on. The top grip was no problem. Note you trim the grip tape after the lower is on and before the upper is installed. The lower grip can be installed upside down so take heed.The feel of the grip (and the putter) is great! The grip is soft and tacky.
