Okay everybody...I put the 1-SW together with the ACER Velocity A flex graphite in black. The negative offset on ALL of these heads make it really easy to get the ball in the air. It lands soft and backs up quite a bit from the 7 on down. I took them out having never hit them and shot 78. I had a ACER LEGGERA driver at 47" XDS hybrids 1-SW and a ACER putter. I don't understand the negative comments unless it was just a fluke. THE ONLY NEGATIVE IS THAT HIREKO NEEDS TO MAKE A GAP WEDGE AND A LOB WEDGE...PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks again for great products!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thought I would demo the #6. So I put it together with apollo steppless and karma grip and just love it. I use it for anything from teeing off to pounding out of deep rough. Very impresive for the amount of money invested. Will certainly be adding more before to long. Give it a try and see for yourself.

Bought 2 thru SW and put together with Aldila VL graphite shafts and have great results. Good feel, nice to look at and best of all easy to hit.

I truly believe thay hybrid sets will be the next wave in golf technology. This set is ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL and I can recommend it to any golfer who can not properly hit an iron (which is most of you out there!). I have replaced every club in my bag with a set of these clubs except my putter and lob wedge. My handicap has gone from a 25 to a 13! Why? Very, very simple. I tee off with the #1,2, or 3 club and then use the remainder of the set to hit as usual. Yes, it defintely takes time to get used to the appearance of the clubs at address, especially the higher lofted clubs like the #9, PW, and SW. But after playing these clubs for another season, I have upped my stats in the greens-in-regulation and fairways hit by a tremendous amount. I have built a huge amount of confidence with this set and rarely, if ever, shank, top, or pop a big hook or slice. I built my full set with the Apollo basic steel shafts in the senior flex and used a a decent grip. I built the whole set for less than the cost of my buddie's OEM big name boom stick. He still hits a decent drive about every 5 holes, but is lost or in trouble most of the time. Meanwhile, I have a very consistent set that is very playable and allows a guy who likes to sweep the ball off the turf to play with the big boys. A++

Replaced my 3 and 5 wood with the 1 and 2 Hybrid.What I lost in a little distance, I more than made up in accuracy.I have the 1,2,3,4 and 5,to handle everything from 150 yards out.

I have been playing with a set of synchron fairway woods for about ten years now, no irons. My 15 wood is about a 125 yrd. club for me, anything under that is a feel shot. I decided to purchase a set of hybrid irons. I got the complete set 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,pw,and sw. First game with new clubs was terrible, I played twelve rounds of eighteen holes and never got any better. I had my brother in law try the clubs, 18 holes he could not hit them, since then three golfing buddies has tried them, and could not hit them. As I write this another friend is trying them out, if he likes them he is going to buy them, I am not holding my breath. I would not recommend these to anyone with out them hitting the clubs first. I hope this helps.

I bought five #5 hybrids to evaluate; Prophet, Genesis, Caiman, PP system 5000, and Acer XDS. All performed well, but the XDS performed better than the rest. Well balanced, high long shots, and straight. The balancing made this club much more forgiving than the rest. While other reviewers stated that it did not perform out of the rough due to the higher volume, I found just the opposite. I even stepped on a ball in the rough to see if it could still dig it out and I was able to hit it with a long high shot. I am so impressed w/ this club I am buying a whole set. I am anxious to see if I can hit the dreaded #1. Definitely benefits the golfer who sweeps the ball as I do. The PP system 5000 which was very good, would be better for someone who hits down on the ball. Caiman hit great on center hits, not so well on mishits.

This seemed like it would b the perfect hybrid. Had the right loft that I wanted , specs, etc. The face cupped in from hitting the ball. I just got around to dealing with it about a year later and brought it to Hirekos attention. They said sorry it is out of warranty. I know it is inexpensive, so I am not that upset. But that is essentially what Hireko sells. Clubs and clubheads that are not that well made.

I was using a set of the Power Play hybrids and liked them so well I thought I'd go bigger with these. To me they feel awkward and they hit inconsistantly. The longer clubs are better, the short ones are terrible.

I have tried to give the set to two of my friends. After playing them, neither person wanted them - for free.

I built the set with Apollo stepless shafts and Lambkin grips. I did not scrimp on materials or workmanship. I just don't like them. Thankfully for me I still have my Power Play Hybrids.

I made a set of these for my 77 year old Dad, who didn't take up the game until after turning 70. He always lacked the confidence to hit regular irons from the fairway. His hybrid iron set consists of the 5 through the SW. Unbelieveably better for him than standard irons. He hits the ball higher, farther and straighter couldn't have asked for more.

In the past, I have tried hybrid heads and was never overly impressed. Purchased the ADS Hybrid head in 19* and assembled it with the Apollo Acculite 85 steel shaft. What a great combination. Some people may like a lighter weight graphite shaft, but for me the steel shaft works great. A slower, deliberate swing will not only give great distance (215+yds), but enables me to place the ball more accurately than a 5 wood. Now my "go to" club for tight par 4's and long approach shots on par 5's. What a great club -- and the best part is it was less than $20.00 to make!

I purchased the 5 hybrid first and loved it so much, I bought the 1 through 4. The 1 and 2 have replaced my 3 and 5 woods forever. I built them with Grafalloy pro-custom shafts and have found a match made in Heaven! Shots are LONG, HIGH and STRAIGHT. Mis-hits are most often playable, with far better results than any long iron. This is the best golf purchase I've made in a long time. My set is finally complete....

After fooling around with my wifes set I built a 1 thru SW set for me. These clubs are great coming out of any situation..especailly the grass that you run into in Florida. The PW/SW have a drastic offset which took alittle time to get use to. You cant shank them since the leading edge is way in front of the hosel. Both of these clubs are exceptional out of the sand All of these clubs hit easier (compared to tradional irons) off the tee..out of the fairway/rough/sand.

It's a good club for high to middle handicapper. I built a 5 hybrib with a stiff appollo ballistik shaft...good for tee & fairway shots but the head is too big (144cc) for the rough.

I would recommend 6 hybrid iron through 1 hybrid iron for anyone looking to improve accurancy and distance off the tee or fairway. I can hit the hybrid 3-iron almost as far as my driver and 75% straighter. Great for narrow fairways. Good distance. I cannot use shorter hybrid irons (8 thru SW) due to offset and extreme lofts. But those longer irons can really make a difference.

I received a recomendation from a golf forum member to try out this club. After having another bad round with my 3 & 4 iron I decided to give it a try. You couldn't beat the price so what the heck. I had Hireko put one together for me with an Apollo Shadow Steel shaft. First time taking it out for a round this became my go to club. From the fairway, out of the rough this club was long and accurate. My buddies got tired of me talking about my hybrid. Since that round I have pulled my 3 & 5 woods out of the bag and built the 1 and 2 iron versions of this hybrid. So I am carrying three of these bad boys.

I made one with the Apollo Hybrid Shaft and the #3. This thing has not failed me yet... I can draw the ball, fade it and hit it straight on demand. It is very accurate, reaching Par 5 s in 2 is easier, and it does not sacrifice much distance out of the rough. If you don't have at least one in your bag, you don't know what you are missing. I have had taylor mades before, and this one is much easier to hit and much, much cheaper.Go for it you would not regret it[...].

Built the 22 Degree model as a 3/4 Iron repalcement to a stadnard 3 iron length with an Apollo Shadow A Flex steel sgaft and a Whisper Grip.Very easy to hit off almost any lie, fairway, tee box and out of the rough. Although more shaped like a wood, it has no problem cutting through long grass. Off the tee it is a great lay up club on short par 4's and is a far better option off the tee than a 3 Iron. It is a club that can perform many roles, not so much a "twofer" as a "fourer."The club cost less than [$]in component form and you will not find a better hybrid for four or five times that price.

Been having trouble with my shoulders. Tried some of my wifes first...I now have the one thru the 9. PW is alittle too offset for me. I have 9 handicap. Much easier on arms/shoulders. Loft of clubs higher by one club. IE 9 is same loft as a PW in other sets of irons. These clubs are great in the second cut or rough. They are in my bag to stay...(and my wifes)
