Acer Mantara Iron - Clubhead:The Mantara family welcomes its newest addition! Now an iron which extends the concept creating ultra-high MOI to greatly reduce twisting on off-center shots. The Mantara iron removes mass in every conceivable location where it is least needed and redistributes to the low and rear corners of this extreme perimeter-weighted design. The wide sole and twin rear wings provide the accuracy you would expect from a hybrid club, but with the appearance of an extraordinary iron. The large effective hitting area augmented by a radius sole to prevent far shots perhaps making this the most playable club on the market. Flagsticks take cover you have been warned!

I used thes heads to replace my three and four hybrids. These heads set up nicely giving me a confident thought over the ball. They fly high and go where one aims.

Found a couple of these clubs on sale, and liked them so well I got the rest of the set. My other irons are back in the garage, and I am winning more money. The ball flight is perfect for holding these greens plus the extra yardage is good for confidence>I like the Cayman woods also!

Comments about Hireko I320512C:Acer Mantara Iron - Clubhead:

I generally play irons with some offset. I have used these for about 10 rounds and I have really begun to like them. Excellent trajectory paired with True Temper Dynalite steel shafts. Play is very consistent with correct distance for the shaft head combination. The setup is really very attractive to my eye as well as others that have demo'd the set. Slightly unique rectangular set-up provides a look of confidence. I think this head is somewhat of a sleeper overshadowed by some newer offerings from Hireko, but if game improvement is your need, then don't go past these with out a test drive.

I built the 9 and pw shafted with the acer x class graphite shaft and gripped the clubs with karma orange grips. The clubs look great and play even better.Off center shots lose very little distance and the accuracy is fantastic.Gonna get the rest of the set.Oh,and by the way,two bump and run birdies using the pw.

Comments about Hireko I320512C:Acer Mantara Iron - Clubhead:

I've built a 3i and PW with Apollo Balistik steel and a 6-iron with a Hump. These irons have a long blade length and thick topline, but that's fine for those looking for forgiveness. The high bounce angles also really help those who tend to dig (like me). Overall, I'm seriously considering these as my next set of irons. The long blade length feels pretty natural (not cumbersome) throughout the swing to me.

built these irons to use when i travel . dont want to chance plane loosing mine . they lack feel when you hit them . they are accurate as any good iron i have hit . big problem is they are 1 club shorter in distance than what i play . if you are a big hitter these are for you . would recomend these for senior player or person just taking up game

Comments about Hireko I320512C:Acer Mantara Iron - Clubhead:

I usually play in the mid 90s but I set a personal best with these the first time I played them. They feel so good that it is almost as if you aren't even striking the ball! No club is perfect so I gave it a 4 star rating but they do out perform my 8 year old name brand clubs.

I purchased this great looking baby(5 iron) and assembled it with a Synchron Tourflex shaft. From the first swing I have had great success with this club. Mishits are almost a thing of the past. It has a large sweetspot and has added a few yards too. Great value. I plan to try out the 3 iron and if it's as good as this one, I'll complete the set.

Comments about Hireko I320512C:Acer Mantara Iron - Clubhead:

I bought the AW and LW because I have no confidence in my current set of clubs. They are so good that I will now build a full set. My shots just seem to float to the green - they have a great feel and I can tell that even the 4 iron will reward me the same way. I am 71 and playing the best golf of my life, and these and the Acer Mantara driver and fairway woods that I built will make me even better

Comments about Hireko I320512C:Acer Mantara Iron - Clubhead:

Typical for a large cavity back club, this club plays dead. No feedback from a well-struck ball. Definite draw bias. Good club for the high handicapper.

Comments about Hireko I320512C:Acer Mantara Iron - Clubhead:

When I struck the ball correctly, it almost seemed like I missed the ball. Great flight trajectory and very straight. I had a little problem occasionally pushing the ball to the right. Ball went straight off line right 15-20 yards, not sure why, as my alignment was good, just not sure what I did incorrectly. I am sure all will be better as I get more used to the clubs. Distance is as good or a little better than the Ping G5 clones I have been using. Would recommend to others!
