I built these clubs for my son. I was looking for a junior set, but decided to go with the Acer 905's instead. The shafts are Tru Temper TT Lite A/L
Golf Pride grips. My son is 4'11" so we made the 5 Iron length at 35.5" with 1/2" increments to the wedges (we trimmed the shafts for an A flex). With slower swing speeds the shaft has a nice kick and feel to it. My sons game has improved dramatically since playing these irons. I believe these clubs to be an excellent choice for beginners to mid handicap players.

I thought that the webinar was very informative. I called the next day with a tech question concerning TX-90 shafts. I put together a set of Acer XP905 Pro series irons and needed to know the trim code for the TX90 shafts. Since I've lost a step or two since turning 60 I soft stepped the shafts. I've been playing golf for a good number of years and the XP905's are the best irons I've ever played. Keep up the good work.

I wanted a forgiving iron head with little offset. This is hard to find. I liked the old Dynacraft Q4, but can't get them any more. The XP905-pro has a shorter blade by about 4mm, but the undercut cavity seems in keeping with current views on what makes a club forgiving. On balance, they seem at least as forgiving as the Q4.
I built the 5i through PW. I put the heads on Graman Limey (UL580) R-flex shafts. They look great, and really catch people's eye -- both the handsome head and the neon shaft.
I have now played 5 rounds with them. They are as solid a set of irons as I can remember playing. When my swing is on, it's like throwing darts. The ball flies straight, and really bites when it lands. (I was in the zone the back nine of my second round with them, and shot 38 on a difficult course -- and I'm a 14 handicap.) If my swing is a little off, they are forgiving enough to keep the results fairly good. And, if my swing is way off... well, nothing will help me there; these clubs are good, not magic.

I've been playing a set of XP905 Pro irons for about a year now and I've been extremely pleased with them.
They are solid irons that will appeal to a golfer that likes a smaller head, understated looks and minimal offset but still provide game improvement performance. They're very easy to hit and inspire confidence at address. The fit and finish of these heads is as good as any major OEM head I've worked on too. Everyone that sees them guesses they are much much more expensive clubs than they are. Because not a lot of people see these heads they definitely fly under the radar.
I just built a set this winter for my best friend and he is thrilled with them too. I'm going to buy an extra set of these heads to "put away for a rainy day", just in case. Please Hireko -- don't quit making these heads!

Purchased the XP 905 Pro in a sand wedge (56*) because I needed a loft between my PW and 60* wedge. Assembled with Apollo SpectreLite steel shaft. Club is very accurate, and great for approach shots 110 yds or less. Seems to have good "bite" on the green. So far, I am pleased with the club.

I had been to my local golf store and tried the Callaway X-20 Tours with the Rifle Project X shafts and fell in love instantly, but there is no way I could afford or would want to pay the asking price on those clubs. When I found the XP905 PRO's I couldn't belive how similar they were to the X-20's. I bought a set of Rifle Lite 6.0's off of e-bay for under 50 bucks and used Karma mid sized velvet grips. These clubs set up great with the reduced off set. I especially like the control I get with the 8-PW inside of 140-150 I know I'll hit 7 out of 10 greens with these from that distance which is a huge improvement over my old clubs. The first round I played I got a par on all 5 par 3's thanx to these clubs. I am still adjusting to them since I have only played one round so far. They are the X-20's equal in every way except for the price tag. These irons stick to the greens like fly paper, I don't think I found a ball more than 3 feet from a pitch mark all day. They really gave me the confidence to go flag hunting. I built the 5-PW and used prophet hybrids for my 3 and 4.

I have bought clubs costing much more money, but none more accurate!
The iron finish is superb!

I set these irons up with Rifle shafts and all I can say is WOW!! These heads have preformed well over my expectations.
These set up to the ball nicely and give me confidence standing over it. They are definitely game improvement clubs but don't have the huge oversized chunky design like most.
I was initially trying decide between these and the XP Tours with the forged face. I actually tried to talk myself into the more expensive ones because "you get what you pay for". Well the XP Pros give you much more than what you pay for. I am currently playing the NXT Tour ball and can not tell the difference in feel between these heads and my past forged heads.
If you are thinking about purchasing these don't hesitate. You will not be disappointed.

I wanted to try out the acer clubs this year. I must say it was a great choice and would not change it for the world. This is a club head that performs well and has a great feel to it. These are a great club!!!!!!
