I have been building clubs for high to mid handicappers for years, but can never back down from a challenge. So when a friend of mine, who's a scratch golfer asked me to build his next set of irons, I accepted, but was a little apprehensive, and prepared myself for disappointment due to his higher skill level. He picked out these heads, Apollo Black Steel shafts tipped Stiff, and Golf Pride V-55 grips. I also added some of my own home-spun Sensicore-like vibration dampeners. I had to weight the heads quite a bit due to his shorter stature and the fact that the clubheads' weight tolerances were way out of spec (work on that Hireko). But the end result was a 3-PW set that swingweighted at D-4, and felt sweet when you swing them. It's kind of early to tell about the durability of the finish, but my friend and myself are expecting it to wear off rather quickly. He hit these at the driving range, and informed me immediately afterward, that these clubs are going to "...change my Whole Game!!!!". Mission accomplished!

I find that my shots are a little straighter and my shots toward the greens are hitting the target better.

I built a short set (6-pw) of the Prophet tour irons on TT Dynamic Golf R flex (R300) shafts and Karma yellow/black grips.
I doweled the tips and pushed closed cell rope caulk down the shafts (homespun sensicore) at D3 swingweight. "These are possibly the best feeling irons Ive swung" I dont recommend these for iron snobs because the finish will not last. But if you consider your irons the "tools of the game". Then by all means try them. You will be pleasantly surprised.
If in doubt, build yourself a 7 or 8 iron and try it.
So far I have only played 27 holes with them, but I have to say... these are surprisingly easy to hit irons. I was worried they would be harsh feeling, but they just feel solid.

Comments about Hireko I3452C:Dynacraft Prophet Tour Iron - Clubhead:
Among all the other models and brands of irons I tested this year, I selected these as my 'Demo set' for the season; figuring to generate sales by playing and lending these beautiful irons to potential customers I meet and play with almost daily. I built my set with the matching Apollo shafts and the Avon Chamois (brown) grips. The set is beautiful and they play wonderfully. Given the "Player's Iron" looks, these clubs are surprisingly forgiving and easy to hit. I was in love and felt that I had selected wisely. Then I took an afternoon to work on my short game at a local grass practice facility. I was astonished and dismayed, at the end of it, to see that the relatively high sand content in the turf had all but stripped all of the finish off of the bottom and sole of my brand new Pitching Wedge.I am trying to build a reputation for offering quality products [...] and, therefore, made the decision immediately, to take these clubs out of my bag and go with my second choice for demo-set 2010. I can not recommend these irons to my customers. And I would only recommend them to my friends with the caveat that the finish will not wear well. Pity.

Comments about Hireko I3452C:Dynacraft Prophet Tour Iron - Clubhead:
Great club head, looks great, feels great, plays well. However, beware of the finish, the color is nice but the finish will start to wear off over a short period of time. I've played these irons for about 6 months now, once a week. The finish on the 8 iron wore quickly and over multiple spots. [...] my other clubs have started showing the same wear on the finish. For this reason and the [$] per head price tag, I've given it only 3 stars.

Been assembling Hireko clubs for people for a couple of years now.
My only thing is the sets I would make for myself I would always end up selling and go back to my old faithful 1979 Titleist Tour Model Blades. Well I think I have found a set of clubs that I will stay with for awhile.
The more traditional look and feel are nice. The offset is not bad (still wish they had none but hey). I paired these with the Apollo gunmetal shafts thought they would look good as well as Karakal Mid size white grips. Then I read someones review here and thought I would give them a try. Was concerned that the Mid/High kick point would be an issue as I currently use Project X 6.5 shafts. Was pleasantly surprised of the feel.
On my first round with these clubs I really enjoyed the look and feel. Would of shot a 76 if not for a +3 on a 135 yard Island green where I took the wrong club and ended up in the water then in my frustration and the poor drop chipped 30 feet short of the hole. Can`t blame the clubs for my poor decision. I do feel that for better golfers these are good clubs to look at. The guys I played with where impressed with the look and ball flight.
What I was most impressed with is the long irons.
Even if the offset was more then I like I still enjoyed the crispness of Impact and workability. Hey hitting a 4iron out of fairway bunker 210 yards pin high on a par 5 is always a great feeling. Something that with my old faithfuls I was less likely to try.
The short irons are great.
Thank you for creating a more players club. Now my next suggestion would be to create a forged version :D.

I Built the 8 thru SW. First swing with the 8 iron was on the flag. Playing friend ask me if he could hit it? He has been playing a high dollar Forged Blade for years. After hitting the 8 iron long with a slight draw it landed 8 feet short of the flag. He as me to build him a full set 3 thru SW right then, and there. That just about says it all. Sorry to read about the black comming off the heads in a short time frame? I love the look of the black finish.
Comments about Hireko I3452C:Dynacraft Prophet Tour Iron - Clubhead:
very nice looking iron has a small footprint and very easy to connect with the ball. Can work the ball and make it dance when it hits the green.

Good bang for the buck - I built 5 thru PW, unfortunately 7 was out of stock. Paired with FST 90 ultralight shafts. Balance is amazing. Swing it smooth and high penetrating ball flight results. Once I get the 7 built and in my bag I will be happy playing this set for another few years. Only pitfall is the finish doesn't hold up on the sole and lower face.

Thank you for producing these in the lefty. I had a vision of how to assemble these for the best eye candy clubs I've ever owned. I will be honest, I was expecting a harsh impact feel just because it's not forged. To my surprise these irons have a soft/smooth feel on center hits. These will be for special occasions to show off to friends. I am worried about all the PVD finishes but hope for decent wear. Just a Thought- Ball impact is very noticeable I wonder if these is from a softer steel or the finish.
I've give them the title of the "Vader Set."
set in bag
8iron, gunsmoke shaft, Karma multi-texture grip

Comments about Hireko I3452C:Dynacraft Prophet Tour Iron - Clubhead:
I love the look. The clubs are generally forgiving for off-center hits. The finish does not wear well. The short irons are excellent however the increasing offset as you move down to the 4 iron is disappointing. I play clubs with virtually no offset and was hoping these would be a solid replacement but I believe they include too many accommodations for a less skilled ball-striker. I'll keep looking. I would recommend them to golfers with handicaps in excess of 8 but not to low single digit players.

This is a good iron head for best players and low price. I am french sorry for my english.
Comments about Hireko I3452C:Dynacraft Prophet Tour Iron - Clubhead:
I assembled the Prophet using the Apollo Acculite 75 shaft and Karkal grip. The lighter shaft and grip shifts more weight to the clubhead resulting in a very solid feel at impact. Once I resolve my putting problems I should be able to compete in local tournaments again. If you want to return to a blade club I highly recommend giving the Prophet a try!

Comments about Hireko I3452C:Dynacraft Prophet Tour Iron - Clubhead:
I was happy with the set of Dynacraft Prophet CNC forged head clubs I made about a year and a half ago. Then Hireko rolls out this tour blades for 2010, so I decided to see what they felt like. I got the PW and 8 iron first, played and practiced with it for 2 weeks. I was impress on how easy it was to hit a small bladed head, so convinced I ordered the remaining heads. The slim look and rare color scheme have amazed everyone I've golf with. The soft feel on impact is probably the most definitive element about this head.

Comments about Hireko I3452C:Dynacraft Prophet Tour Iron - Clubhead:
Compared to my current irons the Prophet blade came up 10-15 yards shorter and not as easy to hit. Believe when I change shafts to a True Temper 75 I will notice the difference.

The Dynacraft Prophet has what I needed for my short game. I built the S thru 7 irons and have had exccellant results. I've never found anything better that feels so good when you strike the ball. The head looks great and other golfers are noticing my new clubs.

A unique looking design, nothing clone about these. They look so good you will want to buy the iron covers. At current time, I just purchased the short irons. Hit every shot well the first round. Very pleased.

Its time to give credit where credit is due. Hireko has continued to improve the quality of their components over the past few yrs. I received the heads yesterday. Specs ckecked. Wts within 1 gm. Lofts within 1/2* most dead on. Shafts Apollo FW Shadow graphite. 38" 5 iron Swing Wt D0. Played a few holes this AM. Very cold and windy but found what I wanted to know. You don't have to be a 5 handicap to play and enjoy these clubs. Easy to work and still somewhat forgiving. I am 72 yrs old and don't have near the game of yrs past but I will enjoy playing these irons. I have made clubs for 25 yrs and full time with a store front for the past 16 yrs. These are as good as it gets.
