Power Play Caiman Iron - Clubhead:Big, bad and bold are just some of the words to describe this powerful new iron design. The precision cast 431 stainless steel outer shell creates the foundation by optimizing the deep, rear center of gravity location for the extremely high moment of inertia resulting in superior accuracy and a driving trajectory. It is joined together with a separate high-performance face plate formed by an ultra-thin sheet of high strength 420 specialty maraging steel. This translates into a more explosive ball velocity coming off of the face for the ultimate in distance. From the ultra-wide beveled sole and heavy rear mass to the unique appearance at address, the Caiman Irons put more raw power in your hands to produce shots that you only dreamed of.

I ACTUALLY REPLACED SOME DYNACRAFT HYBRIDS WITH 3,4,5,6,7 IRONS. THESE CLUBS HIT THE BALL LONG AND VERY HIGH MAKES FOR SOFT LANDINGS AND GIR'S.

I have played with big-name brands and with these. I find these clubs to be the equal of the big-name brands, at least at my skill level. There is no reason to pay the inflated prices of big-name brands when these perform just fine.

As a club builder I have tried a few different heads & have some favorites but this head & design is going to be hard to beat , good price & performs well off the fairway in tight lies.I have sold a few sets & have very postive feed back.

I have the same comment as one of the other reviews. The club had a very hollow/unsolid feel to them.
I have been using Caloway R14's. These club do not hit as sold or as long. I know it is not the shaft. I build clubs all the time.

Took out my 4 iron and added this in the bag but used the 5 iron head due to the add'l length. I use this club for 175-185 yds. Off the tee, I get about 195 yds (teed up)so its good for drives on tight, short Par 4's

I build golf clubs so I purchased the 5-SW and mounted them on Grafalloy ProLite R-flex graphite iron shafts and finished them with black Winn Xi7 grips. They looked great and I figured they'd sell quickly. Before I put them on my shop display rack I noticed that the little Power Play decal on the back of my six (6) iron was missing. This sent up a red flag for me because I do not want to sell any of my customers anything which falls off or apart even before it leaves my shop.My concern is what will happen to the other decals if this one fell off even before the club left my shop! Photos enclosed.

Using 4 and 5 as replacements for normal 4 and 5 irons. Built only one half inch longer than my standard irons(using same shafts as irons). They are long, extremely forgiving and trajectory is outstanding. Easiest to hit/control long iron replacements I have tried. They are in the bag to stay.

I built these with the Apollo Spectre Lite Steel shaft and was disappointed with the overall performance. It may have been the shaft-head combo but they had a very hollow/unsolid feel to them.

In past years I have assembled several iron sets. Before the Cayman irons I found that only one other set was as satisfying as the Cayman set. The Cayman irons hit sweetly with solid feel, no vibration on off hits and gives me very good distance. I usually like a light feel to my irons and these are slightly weighty for me, but I like them very much and would recommend them highly.

Comments about Hireko I3488A:Power Play Caiman Iron - Clubhead:

I paired a set of caiman iron head (3 thru 9 plus pw ) with a set of a "Neutralized and Flex Matched" steel shafts and the results were phenomenal. They were like a match made in heaven. I played the day after assembling the clubs. The clubs absolutely felt and played great. Every shot I hit felt solid which made my confidence grow throughout the round. I have been looking for a new set of clubs for the past couple of months. The golf club I play at has had different club vendors in this past spring to show off their clubs and let the members try them. The combination of shafts and Caiman Club heads are as good or better than any of the clubs I had tried and price can't be beaten.
