I built two demo Mantara irons (3i and PW) with these shafts in S-flex. Overall, they're nice feeling irons. As for the look, they're nice, but I'm not sure they look quite as good as the FST Pro stepless shafts. I feel the S-flex is just about right for me. My 7-iron is my 150 yard club, and I have a pretty aggressive angle of attack and late release. Paired with the Mantara irons, I feel the trajectory is good and doesn't balloon.

Comments about Hireko APMBA:Apollo Balistik Steel:

Overall the ultimate shaft for customizing. There is no end of combinations for flex and length, tuning for head weight, grip weight, etc. I used to use Matchflex 4's but can't get them anymore. This was a fantastic change with more customizing opportunity. I need this due to age! The only difficulty is no good reference point like back of heel to first step dimension for double checking. Calculation and measurement need to be correct to get the "off flex" cuts in the right place. Measure three or four times and cut once! Done right they are extremely consistent in feel and performance from club to club. The clubs do what they are told to do.
