I replaced the 3 and 5 woods shafts in a Tommy Armour 855s set. Wanted lighter shafts and a mid trajectory (old TT shafts had low flight). So happy with those, I bought another for an old driver head (Tommy Armour Ti 100). Wow! Low-torque accuracy! Not my longest driver but I keep it in the fairway much more. I may try this shaft in a modern driver head. Tiger played steel-shafted drivers until 2004. Now I know why.

I was looking to build a set for travel, as well as the satisfaction of building/fitting them myself. I have a set of Cally X20 Tour's with Dynamic Golf Lite stiff shafts and wanted to build a similar set but slightly stiffer. I have a 86 mph 5-iron swing speed with a cut move and wanted to limit the spin in the air as well as on the green. I used XK Pro heads 4-AW, and tipped the shafts an extra .25 inches to firm them up. All I can say is, WOW! Much straighter in the air and really helped control the spin on the green. I built them to be my travel set, but now they're my gamers!
In fact, I liked them so much I got the wood version and made the XK 13* and 19* fairways as well! I cut the wood shafts similar to the irons (tipped extra .25 inches from stiff) and put Avon Chamois grips on them. Very solid feeling, not soft but more like an iron. Performance-wise, the 3W+ is my go-to club now off the tee and the 5W is nice for those 2nd shots on par 5's. It only took one range session and one round to become comfortable with the new setup. The heavier total club weight has smoothed out my swing and the feeling matches from the 3W+ down to the AW.
With the price of the materials and building them myself, I saved hundreds of $$$ and well as a custom set I've been bragging to my friends with! (winning some sratch off them is the icing on the cake)

Put the sensicore inserts in and built to Senior specs. Just as good as any TT Dynamic Gold (SL) version. Amazed with the solid feel.

First time I have used these shafts. I was very pleased with these shafts. Just as good as more expensive shafts. I will use these shafts again.

Apollo's steel shafts are great - this is a wonderful lightweight shaft with a nice kick. I trimmed them to Firm, in between R & S, and am liking the results so far. They feel a wee bit stiffer than other shafts at the recommended trims, but that's something to keep in mind.

Used these shafts to make a set for a beginer lady golfer.
Worked out just fine.

Wanted to try a Q2 6 iron without spending too much. Read that they play stiffer, so I got the A flex. Liked it so much I ordered more to make up a set.

reshaft clubs where the player is seeking higher ball flight and needs a shaft that is between regular and stiff.

I've used these shafts in a couple of different game-improvement iron heads with good results.
With a cut weight of about 90 grams, they're very lightweight. I'm an average hacker with an average swing speed and I find these play just a little stiff to flex, so if you normally hit a regular you might want to try an A-flex in these.
You will still get a medium-high trajectory and good control. Maybe that's partially because of the step-pattern.
One of my golfing buddies, who also normally plays a reg. flex, prefers the A flex in the Spectre Lite and gets good distance and control.

A very inexpensive upgrade on your steel shafts. Go from 120 grams in a standard shaft to 90 grams. I added distance to each iron which threw me off the first few rounds, but I sure am satisfied!

I use this shaft almost exclusively on game improvement irons and also on fairway woods where swingweight will allow. It's real similar to True Temper Dynamic Gold SL, only with a lower kickpoint and price tag. Sensicore inserts really make this shaft feel good. Absolutely no complaints for game improvement.
