Reshafted a wedge for a low handicap customer, usually plays Dynamic Golds. Asked him to try the Apollo and he is in love with it. He got more feel at impact and could feel the shaft working for him. Should be reshafting full set after the season ends.
I wanted to build a new set of irons and wanted to try shafts with a lower kickpoint (the True Tempers on my other irons have a high KP). I came across these Apollo shafts at Hireko and almost ignored them, the price being so low. But after reading the reviews, I had to have them. These shafts are well made, assemble well (consistant dimensions, quality plating) and have a great feel. I have never hit Rifles before, so I can't compare performance. Apollo has a great product in these. When I pulled an iron from my bag, it was fun to hear my partner say, "oh, Rifles!". He has hit these and will order some for his next build.
I was building a new iron set for myself and was looking for a decent shaft with a lower kick point than the True Tempers in my other set. I had never had stepless Rifles (only a TT stepless shaft on my putter), so while I can't compare these Apollos to those, I will say they feel as good as some higher-end stepped shafts I've used. They seem a little on the heavy side, only a trifle more. I don't notice since my heads are oversize and I use jumbo grips, making for a heavier club, anyway. No quality issues with tubing or chrome finish. I seem to get a bit more loft from these. People think they're Rifles, until I tell them otherwise.

As most of us who build clubs might, I was wary of a shaft this inexpensive. But I bought some to shaft an old set of oversize iron heads. Out of 14 R/S shafts the weight range was 121 to 125 grams, not too bad with most of them around the spec of 125 grams. I tested the flex of each and found them very consistent. I tried to FLO them but they were too consistent, it didn't matter what orientation I used. At the range I found them very smooth and very easy to hit consistently. Near the weight of the TT LIte, I believe I have found my new iron shaft! These are very nice shafts and you can't touch the price.
Used these to build womens hybrids and the result was fantastic!!

I have had rifle shafts on my irons at a considerable cost. i tried the apollo stepless and i have switched all my irons and fairway woods and hybrids to this shaft. not only does it look great it plays as well if not better then the rifles at a fraction of the cost. im a apollo man from now on

I read as many reviews I could find on this shaft and read the good and the bad. I experienced NONE of the bad. I was surprised at how nice these shafts really turned out to be. The playability and quality were much better than I expected, not to mention the great look they provide the set I built. I wouldn't hesitate buying these again.
I did not expect much from the apollo stepless shaft since the price was so low. I was expecting the chrome plating to flake off when cutting / tipping the shafts. The finish is extremely durable and I had no flaking or finish problems. I am very happy with the quality of these shafts. I will use these again for all my irons.

I really wasn't expecting much when I ordered these shafts. I was just trying to order something cheap to go with some club heads I had laying around so I can sell them. These clubs are now in the bag! I have arthritis in my hands and I thought graphite was the only shaft material that I could use. Wrong Wrong Wrong!!! These are very smooth playing shafts that are worth a look.

I built my current irons on these shafts in regular flex, and I am very satisfied with them. Didn't want to spend the money for Rifles, so opted for these. I spined the shafts and added Sensicore inserts, and I seriously can't tell the difference between these and the Rifles. Would not recommend for beginners though, as these shafts are heavier and provide more feedback than many game improvement shafts.
Excellent Shaft Choice for all caliber of golfer ability
These shafts look like a million bucks and perform like it too. I've messed ariound with all the latest shaft VooDoo, like frequency matching, spine alignment and all the rest. Basically, I've come to the conclusion that all that is just myth and something to charge the customer extra for.
I use these shafts in all my iron sets. They deliver excellent power and with the multi flex design allow me to fit a wide variety of swing speeds.
As a club builder, I have found that it's best not to tell my customer what these shafts cost. They lose confidence in them if they think the shafts are inexpensive. I just show them a set of Rifle shafts and tell they these are the same as the Rifles. Out on the course, they sure seem to be the same.

Excellent construction, excellent value. You will not be disappointed.
I build my own clubs for my enjoyment and being a lefty I get more choice from Hirekogolf (great prices) and build for some friends. I fitted these shafts to 52 & 56 Professional Open 690 wedges - great combination lots of feel and control, good distance on full shots. I will use them again, maybe when the £/$ exchange is a little more in my favour [...]

I build clubs as a fun/hobby and I'm a fan of Apollo shafts. So many customers ask for True Temper brand shafts more out of habit then anything else... but every single customer who tried Apollo shafts say that they are "just as good"....but at a much better price! My advice....try Apollo brand shafts on your next set of irons. You won't regret it!

I've used Royal Precision, and thought that by price the Apollo version would not compare. I was wrong. Great value and a wonderful shaft.

Four weeks ago I built a set of Dynacraft Avatar ML Irons, 4 thru 9, PW, GW, and SW with these Apollo Stepless Steel shafts and velvet style grips for a Connecticut customer. He called when they arrived and loved their look. He just called and said each of his last 6 rounds were between 4 and 7 shots lower than usual.

I put these shafts in a set of 52,56, & 60 degree XDS Tour Oil Can Wedges, and it is a great combination. They have increased my accuracy with the wedges, as well as my distance control. Very consistent flight also. If you like rifle stepless, try these at a 1/3 of the price.
I used these shafts, trimmed to a regular flex with some XP 905 heads and karma velvet grips. I have also recently demoed some clubs with dynamic golds and rifle project x flighted. The clubs I built were no better or worse than the Callaway and Taylormade clubs containing the "premium" shafts. Performance, forgiveness, and length were all the same given a decent swing. However when compare the significant cost savings with Hireko components they win hands down often saving hundreds of dollars over the oem clubs. These shafts also look great in addition to their great perfromance and are often mistaken for rifle shafts because of their stepless design.
