Comments about Hireko FW46:Powerflex FW 501:
The Powerflex shaft is the best quality shaft for the price, great for irons, good for fairway woods, a little too much torque for light weight titanium drivers, in stiff or for high swing speeds, otherwise very consistant high quality.
Comments about Hireko FW46:Powerflex FW 501:
Used it to build a set of game improvement irons. Gives the benefit of low weight for longer clubs while still maintaining a lower-mid trajectory. FW helps eliminate any significant spine in my experience. Looks sharp too, especially with the new white Karma grips.

Have used this shaft in several sets. The last set I paired with Oxygen type S. Love the feel, accuracy and distance with this combo. Shaft can't be beat for the money.
Comments about Hireko FW46:Powerflex FW 501:
I have been playing with Apollo Masterflex shafts since 1990 and wanted to move to graphite.I was worried I wouldn't find a shaft comparable in price to steel that would also promote a lower ball flight. I paired these with the Dynacraft MGD Prophet irons and didn't miss a beat. I felt in control of the clubhead from the first swing and never felt I lost any shots.

O.K.you need to add three wraps of masking tape to the butt,to get .60.no big deal.I order in some quantity,& frequency analize all, never varies more than 2-3 c.p.s.from shaft to shaft, which is outstanding.A few years ago we had Jamacia V's the world, long drive competion, hosted at the Hilton course in Tobago. The M.C. would introduce each competitor, stateing driver head brand, & shaft. Lots of top of the line Aldila, Grafalloy, etc.,when a Jamican came up & he said Powerflex, there was a silence, followled by stupid giggling. Soon stoped when he hit 384 yards, second place overall, lost by 1 yard. True it was the discontinued 3.0 torque model, but that torque is only required for "hitters".This shaft is used by local professional Chris Richards,(-1), who gave localy born P.G.A. pro. Steven Ames a run for his money, last time he came home.
