Comments about Hireko HS622:True Ace Blue Crush:

I started to dabble in clubmaking this year to self-fit myself to a set of travel clubs. After reading reviews and comparing price points, the Blue Crush seemed to be the best fit to practice with. I gotta say, it's a pertty good shaft in it's own right. I cut .25 inch more than stiff and it turned out quite nice! I home-spined it and put it in a 10.5 System Q Adrenaline head and it feels ok. I do hit it a little high, but that's more due to the high loft of the head. I put "limited feel" for cons but it may be due to the head performance and not the shaft. I have a 101-103 mph swing speed and carry this club about 245 yards, so the XStiff cut seemed to work well. If you never looked at the label and hit this shaft, you would think it was a stock shaft from any of the big-name manufacturer clubs. Overall, the performance is very good and the feel is good. Definitely worth trying for those with a strong or agressive swings looking to experiment with different shafts (and not break the bank); absolutely worth the money.

Searched for the right driver shaft for the last two years. Some were too flexible, heavy or too stiff. The Blue Crush in the regular flex gives me great distance and accuracy without breaking the pocketbook. Agree with other posts that the r is like s and s is closer to x. Great shaft!!

Comments about Hireko HS622:True Ace Blue Crush:

This is a really nice shaft. I was surprised at the quality, given the price. One thing to watch out for is it is at least one level of flex stiffer than the shafts I replaced. Make sure you look at the DSFI ratings in the catalog to see how it compares. I usually play a stiff shaft - with this I cut it to R and it still feels stiffer than I am used to.

Comments about Hireko HS622:True Ace Blue Crush:

I paired this shaft with an Acer XK 9.5 driver head and Karma midsize grip. I have tried shafts from every OEM company out there, but this shaft is the most forgiving and best feeling shaft to date. If more pros would use this shaft they would see there driving accuracy and distance improve. The best part is that [$] price point, you can't beat it. So, if you have a strong swing and are looking for more accuracy and distance, this is your shaft.

Great shaft at any price! Tightened my short dispersement and added a few yards. Enhances the feel for the club head. Not for the beginner or swing speed under 100mph! Or low ball drivers.

Comments about Hireko HS622:True Ace Blue Crush:

WOW! This is one of the best shafts on the market under $50. It offers golfers on a budget an opportunity to play with a high quality shaft at a very reasonable price. I would liken it to the Grafalloy Blue, but slightly less "boardy" feeling. I cut it to a stiff flex and I would say that it plays pretty true to a stiff. I really like the low-launch of this shaft because it allows me to play a higher loft driver (10.5 compared to 9.5 which I normally play), and it gives me a nice low lauch with very low spin. Give this shaft a try, you won't be worry.

Comments about Hireko HS622:True Ace Blue Crush:

This shaft plays to at least a S/X, not the R/S it is rated at. At a very low torque, it might feel "boardy" to some. Highly recommended for high swing speeds, big driver heads and small budgets. Orange Ion would be a better shaft in the True Ace line if you are looking for a true R flex.

Comments about Hireko HS622:True Ace Blue Crush:

Recently purchased a driver with a Grafalloy Prolite XStiff. I didn't feel any "load" when swinging with the Graffalloy. Took the driver out after having it reshafted with the Bluecrush, and it feels so much better. Very happy with the purchase.

Comments about Hireko HS622:True Ace Blue Crush:

Excellent choice for fast clubhead speed. Mine is 110 and it handles fine. Low, penetrating ball flight, lots of roll. Swinging "easy" costs distance, accuracy. The Orange Ion fits the medium tempo better. It would cost over $100 to get better.

Comments about Hireko HS622:True Ace Blue Crush:

I am very impressed with this shaft. It has been quite consistent and has good feel. I pulled a ProLaunch Blue (S Flex)from a clubhead to experiemnt with this and was amazed at how good it felt. I used the Hireko Shaft chart to determine what flex to use, so I played the Blue Crush at "R" Flex. I felt the Blue Crush was a tad softer than the ProLaunch but that could just be the better feel kicking in. I definetly got better distance. Accuracy and stability seemed about the same. If you're on a budget and like big name shafts, try this first. You might like it and save a lot of cash.
