This works well on the tip end but is too small when you need to use it on the butt end. I wish they had two sizes. One for each end to use would be perfect. When I had to cut the butt end and put grips on it didn't work too well but I managed.

had a hard time getting the shaft from slipping in the unit, but after not being afraid of shaft damage i able to tighten enough to get the job done.
