I just built an Acer Mantara XL driver and I am disappointed. It is way too loud and does not have as much distance as my Golfsmith snakeeyes driver. Even my club pro said that is the loudest club he has ever heard.

Sorry to hear about your experience with one of our drivers. Here is a link to an article that will explain why drivers may sound differently:

We have recorded the sound of each of the drivers as a way to compared them. to one another There is an icon that says "Hear Sound" that you can click on. While the Mantara XL might very well be the loudest driver we offer, it is no were near as loud as last year's version of the Nike Sumo2.

I don't know about the other review of this driver, but I love it. I put it together with a value type of shaft and had pretty decent results. I hit it about 10-20 yards longer than an Taylor Made r7 425 and it's definitely quite a bit straighter.
