My Friend broke his wedge inside the grip and asked me to fix it. I am looking for input on possible replacement shafts for it. The only Identifiers on it is that it is a Callaway 56degree Forged Wedge. It has the white "V" logo on the clubhead. I assume the shaft is tapered, and I believe I can see the 'true temper" logo on the shaft near the clubhead.
Any Advice for a replacement shaft?
Thank you for any help you can provide.
Chuck.

Chuck:
If the back flange says Forged +, then the stock shaft was Dynamic Gold. You can always check by measuring the distance between steps - it should be 1 3/4".

Hi Jeff,
The back Flange only shows '56' and 'Forged'. There is no '+' symbol.
I did measure the steps and the first 5 are spaced about 1.25, and then the rest are spaced 1.50".

Then you might stick either a Dynalite or TT Lite XL in there. Remove the grip and grip tape and you should see ink jet imprinted on the shaft. It may give you a clue as to the flex. I believe that shaft was specially made for Callaway and may very well be S-flex since it is a wedge shaft from what literature I could find.

Thanks Jeff,
I was leaning towards putting a Dynalite in there, but I can't find a taper tip on the Website. Does Hireko offer the Taper Tip version of the Dynalite?

True Temper no longer offers the standard Dynalite in a taper tip, but they do have the Dynalite Gold. Of course you can always bore out the hosel, but before you do check the shaft tip size of what is in there first.
