I wanted to take a minute to comment on the way components are shipped to customers. I only bought components so it may be different for those of you who purchase an assembled club.
The shafts were poorly wrapped in tissue paper, with balls of newspaper at each end. When I got the box, they were clanking against eachother on any movement. They are steel shafts, and I didn't see any noticeable dings or dents on them, thank goodness.
The other box had my grips, club heads, iron covers, epoxy and solvent inside of it. The club heads were wrapped in a bubble wrap, which was then put into a ball of newspaper. In some cases, the iron heads were touching eachother inside one ball of newspaper. Even though there was no noticeable scratches, it made me a quick skeptic as I unwrapped everything.
My friend bought a named brand set of clubs last year and they were shipped in cardboard which was custom cut for each individual club. The presentation, even if by a simple package, stood out a lot more.
I also know that there is a fantastic low flat rate shipping, which probably has to do with the packaging. I'm sure Hireko could make a fancy packaging system, but to offset those costs it would force them to raise the shipping.
Very happy with the clubs, and as I said nothing was damaged, just thought I would comment on the presentation. I very much look forward to purchasing more, and I already had a friend buy two Caiman fairway woods from you which he will be getting later this week!
