Iron swing weight Problem

The components consist of Acer XK pro, TT S300 Dynamic gold SL (1" shorter) and oversize Golf Pride Multicompund. Assembled iron dry fit and swingweight was varied but in the C ranges. Assembled clubs with 6 gram weight in tip to start the process but realized that additional weight would be necessary. No problem...some lead down the shaft with a proper sized cork and a little 30 minute epoxy. So I thought. Each club was put on the swing scale with a little bag taped to the club head. Added the necessary amount of lead with the cork and inserted through the grip with the expander and rod designed for that purpose. Unfortunately the depth to which I could set the cork was not as deep as I had calculated (±3/4 the way down the shaft) which....obviously changed the swingweight by placing weight closer to the grip. Hence my problem. SW varied from C9 to D1. My question: what is the preferred method of undertaking this dilema and a solution besides lead taping the head. I appreciate your response and sorry for the length of the ?.
Thanks

Don:

For clubs that are shorter than standard, I often leave the swingweight lower as it is a matter of proportionality. Ladies club are lighter swingweight only because of the shorter length and clubs build for taller men will yield high than normal swingweights. I might have made one clubs first, unless you did to determine you needed the 1" shorter assembly length. Then I would have added tape to the back of the club to see if it was any improvement or not. If not, then you could easily remove it. If you did like it, then you could have measured the swingweight of the test club and duplicated what you did on the rest of the set.
