Jeff,
Do the weight ports go into the Q2 driver head? Could one stuff cotton/yarn into the void to alter sound to a more muted sound? Any other ideas to make the Q2 head a little more quiet?
Thanks,
Scott

Scott:
If you remove one of the screws you will have access to the interior of the head. You could dampen the sound by stuffing the head with cotton balls - called "cottoning". Just grab a handful or about the size of the head and just stuff one after another. It should only add a couple of grams and reduce the sound. If you don't like the way it sounds, it is easy enough to fish out the cotton through the screw opening.

As much as you want. The more you put in the more it will dampen the sound.

The cotton will only muffle the sound, not totally reduce it. But the more you stuff and compact it into the head, the greater sound reduction will occur.
