Customer brought his new TM R-9 driver to me to check a buzzing sound from the head when tapped or hit. First he called TM and they asked him to return the club to them for them to check it. But, they told him it would be several weeks and perhaps a month or more before he could expect it to be returned.
The noise appears to be generated by a loose weight plug that's screwed into the bottom-back of the head. My question is; can the weight screw be removed and the threads coated with a drop of Loc-Lite without messing something up?
Thanks in advance,
The Clubmaker

The screws are indeed removable as it is part of their Movable Weight Technology. The only problem with using a thread sealer like Locktite is it may void the manufacturer's warranty. I would suggest your customer take it back to where he bought it and exchange it for another and the retailer can deal with return.
