I read a day or two ago where someone had a problem with the iron heads rusting (I don't remember which iron). I cannot remember the response as how to prevent the rusting. Can someone help?

Butch:

The key is avoid soaking the clubs in the water when cleaning them, especially with irons with a deep cavity or undercut where it is difficult to throroughly dry the clubhead. Simply bring the brush to the clubhead to clean the face and sole.

is there any liquid available which is especially used for cleaning the clubs? i have been using cloth pad dipped in detergen and water, i know this will eventuall rust my clubs. if you have any chemical which can used for cleaning, advice it to me.

As long as the clubs are dried afterwards, you do not have to worry about the clubs rusting. Any liquid, like many solvents that will flash off or evaporate quickly, could potentially clean to dirt, etc. from the club, but look at the impact on the environment.

I use a squirt of simple green, brush out the grooves, and dry it off immediately with a soft towel. No rust - and no impact on the environment!

If not, aren't all your irons made out of stainless steel, so why worry about rust?

Not all our irons are made of stainless steel. The Prophet CNC is made of carbon steel and the face plate of the Acer XP 905 Tour is as well. The Caiman and the older Prophet MGD have maraging face inserts. But stainless steel can still rust or form surface rust under the right conditions. Fertilizer from the golf course and moisture are one of them.
