I built the Acer XDS wide sole hybrid in a #7. I was pleased with it's performance out of the rough and off the fairway. The one suggestion that I would make is regarding the face of the club. The face wore pretty quickly, it seemed soft. Within a short time there were some serious wear marks in the face within a short time. Perhaps a harder steel would help.

It is actually made of ordinary stainless steel we use in our other fairway woods, wedges and irons. If you are hitting off sandy soil, that might explain the excessive wear. But you can restore a stain finish with a Scotchbrite pad.

Now that you mention it, I was hitting off sandy soil. Thanks for the tip and for lowering your price on shipping. I just ordered some more components.
