Jeff,
I'd guess this question comes up quite a bit and I did a search and found nothing.
Looking at Hierko chipper heads of the 4 component heads 3 of them I wonder about the 2 way is definitely out because of the double face.
Are the:
Acer XK Chipper
Dynacraft Avatar Chipper
True Ace Chipper
USGA legal? As long as you put a round grip on them?

The Dynacraft Avatar and the True Ace chippers are both non-conforming because the average groove depth exceeded the permissible 0.020". The XK Chipper has been at the USGA for a while, so we should be getting word shortly on its conformity. The grooves on the XK were designed to be within tolerance.
