I am shafting a gap wedge with a dynamic gold stiff shaft.I heard to trim it to a 7 iron and butt trim.I also read to trim to 8 iron specs? Please explain what trimming options there are and how it affects the wedge.
Thanks

Tip trim it as if it were a wedge (4"). That is of course if it is the .370" parallel tip version. The tip trimming is predicated on the weight of the head. If you trimmed less, like 3" for a 7-iron, then it will no longer be an S300 flex but rather something in-between R and S flex.
