I did a reshaft on a Titleist 909 driver last week.
Replaced a Rayon Stiff flex shaft with a Pro force V2 stiff shaft.
This Driver head has a blind bore shaft made by Titleist for this cliub head.
This Driver head has a small hole in the heel of the head, that is plugged with a tar like substance...
When I removed the old shaft and while cleaning hosel I went through into head area. No damage but I opened the head area which helped caused this rattle problem. The Rattle sounds like a small piece of epoxy.
When I put in new V2 shaft I was careful with epoxy and I replaced the tar like substance and polished up the head. The rattle came after the first hit with the driver..
What is the easy or best way to remove rattle ??? Do I have to redo the shaft or can I use the small hole in the bottom and use something to stop rattle ????
Thanks

Slim chance that removing the shaft you will be able to get to the cause of the rattle. It may have been that small plug in the sole that feel through. You could carefully remove the shaft and see if anything could come out. But aside from that, rattle stop is your only other alternative.
